1, Vladimir Lenin
2, Vladimir Putin
3, Nikita Khruschev
4, Ivan Vladimirovich Leninov
5, Nursultan Nazarbayev

Amongst the older groups Stalin is strangely popular this is vague since the government stance is officially Anti-Stalin yet the cult of personality had a lasting effect.

No love for Emperor Lelouch vi Britannia. Or not much love for Nunnally either.

A poll conducted by JTN reveals that the top five best rulers of all time are, from most popular to least popular:

1. Emperor Park Chan; Taejo - First Emperor of Neo-Joseon and the one who reformed Joseon
2. Emperor Park Sung Mil; Yunjo - Fifth Emperor of Neo-Joseon. Ended the Manchurian Wars
3. Emperor Park Yung-Cho; Sejo - 11th Emperor of Neo-Joseon. Ushered in the time of peace and flourishing trade following the Napoleonic Wars
4. Empress Park Yun-Se; - 8th Empress of Neo-Joseon. Implemented a lot of social reform following the beginning of large scale trade with Enlightenment era Europe. Responsible for allowing women to be counted as peoples in National Council elections as well as the abolition of privately owned slaves
5. Emperor Park Shin; Chunjo - 15th Emperor of Neo-Joseon. Current leader of Neo-Joseon and the "Knight of the People." Abolished a lot of aristocratic institutions in favor of scholarly institutions and is considering a mass promotion of all District Areas into autonomous provinces to end discrimination and bring subjugated peoples the right of citizenship in the Empire, as well as giving them self governance.

The five presidents below usually appear in the top 5 of most "greatest president". They're listed below in chronological order, with some of their achievements also noted.
  • Alejandro McAlister Torres
    1st President (1806-1814)
Led Neragua through its War of Independence against Spain and set many precedents allowing Neragua to form into a steady, constitutional republic. Often nicknamed El Libertador ("The Liberator").
  • Benjamin Fraser McMurdo
    8th President (1834-1842)
First British-Neraguan elected to office, he oversaw the Act of Union incorporating British South America/Patagonia into Neragua and officially making the country bilingual and bi-cultural. Often nicknamed El Unificador ("The Unifier"). His son, Charles, was also President from 1878-1886).
  • Salvador Montoya Vives
    37th President (1956-1964)
Presided over great social and economic reforms, including legalisation of abortion, decriminalisation of homosexuality and re-establishing Neragua's non-interventionist following covert operations and intelligence sharing in WWII. The 1960 Valdivia earthquake - the most powerful ever recorded - struck five months before the 1960 presidential election. Montoya's rapid response (setting up AMEN - the emergency management agency) coupled with his genuine compassion and will to get things done carried him to the largest election victory since popular elections replaced the electoral college in 1910. He took 64.1% of the vote. As president, Montoya was so popular that there were attempts to remove term limits on the presidency so he could contest in 1964. However, plans were scrapped when it was realised the vote would not be approved by the necessary "double majority" (majority of voters nationally and a majority of voters in a majority of states).
  • Isabel Suarez
    43rd President (1982-1990)
First female President, she was politically the polar opposite of Montoya: believing in free markets, privatisation mixed with a dose of conservatism. Both fiery and calculating, she is often labelled "Neragua's Iron Lady" or "Iron Lady of the South" (she drew inevitable comparisons to Margaret Thatcher). She broke with Montoya's big state ideas and moved towards greater federalism. She took Neragua into a more interventionist foreign policy and doubled the defence budget whilst cutting social welfare. Under her presidency, Neragua's economy expanded faster than at any time in its history, growing 130% in 8 years and making Neragua the financial centre of South America.

Others often mentioned, interchangeably with one of the above are (chronologically): Charles Fraser McMurdo, Fernando Gallardo (only person to serve more than two terms and oldest president to serve), Artur Loya, Ramiro Maldonado (first president who was neither unionist/liberal nor federalist/conservative).

Civilian Fatatatutians aren't very good followers so we don't have the same concept of "leaders" that most nations have - i.e. somebody to tell you what to do. When asked about present leaders, we name four:
1. President Mickey Chang
2. Prime Minister Schuyler Marmish
3. General Marie-Louise Castro-Stalina
4. Alphonse
because they are people who are universally admired and respected by Fatatatutians. (Of the four, only the General is in a real position of leadership.)

Since Fatatatutians also have a somewhat limited sense of history, if asked for five leaders they would add:
5. Former Prime Minister Harlan Escrow

Since it seems that we are about to elect Fish as our new President, it is possible that he will soon replace somebody on the list.
