Snap Avinaian parliamentary elections!!

With the high controversial budget of NCD prime minister Francis Copperfield having been struck down by the House of Deputies Chancellor Simmons reluctantly has agreed to call snap elections. This election has been dominated by the question of whether the federal government should force states to balance their budgets before getting large bailouts equaling over 1.7 trillion dollars mostly financed by the World Bank, the IMF, and the UN.

Here are the parties contesting in the elections

Moderate Party(centre-left)

Party Leader: Edward Smith MP

Info: Pro gay marriage, abortion, labor rights, increase of defense spending, a $10.10 minimum wage and pro state bailouts.

Anti State austerity, nationalisation of water, education reform, cuts to defense, cuts to pensions and other social programs.

New Centrist Democrats(centrist)

Party Leader: Prime Minister Francis Copperfield

Info: Pro gay marriage, abortion, pension and defense cuts, state austerity, education reform, a $8.25 minimum wage, and water nationalisation.

Anti privatization of water, increasing the defense budget

Solidarity Party(far-left socialist)

Party Leader: Education Minister Samantha Jones MP

Info: Pro gay marriage, abortion, labor and pension rights, $11 minimum wage, education reform, nationalisation of all major industries and pro defense cuts.

Anti capitalism, cuts to pensions, increase in the defense budget, state austerity, and anti privatization.

Free Democratic Party(liberal centre-left)

Party Leader: Mayor Mary Ward

Info: Pro gay marriage, big business, a $9 minimum wage, cuts to defense, state austerity, and pro privatization of all major industries.

Anti nationalisation, education reform, and cuts to pensions.

Conservative Party(centre-right)

Party Leader: Deputy Prime Minister Austin Tray

Info: Pro gay marriage, big business, a $7.25 minimum wage, state austerity, privatization of most industries, cuts to pensions and education reform.

Anti nationalisation, cuts to defense, and pro labor laws.

Christian Social Union Party(far-right)

Party Leader: Michael Hughes

Info: Pro big business, cuts to pensions, privatization of all industries, abolishing the minimum wage, state austerity and cuts to defense.

Anti gay marriage, abortion, nationalisation, and labor rights.

A newscaster gives an election update.....

"At this point here is an update in the polls. The Solidarity Party has bounced back from near political destruction and taken an early lead with 28% of the vote. The NCD and the Moderate Party are fighting it out for second place both with 24%, in a distant third The CSUP has taken 12% so far. The Conservative Party has taken quite a hit with only 8% of the vote so far down from 24% from the last election. The newly formed Free Democratic Party has so far secured 8% of the vote, but any amount of votes would be a victory for the new party.

UPDATE:

Moderate Party- 23%

NCD- 27%

Solidarity Party- 27%

Conservative Party- 8%

CSUP- 12%

FDP- 4%
