The width might be 1.1 meters BUT The depth ? Remember that the Brahmos also need it's supporting pylons. It might end up having height of 1.3 or 1.5 m.

FGFA Will certainly carry Brahmos Externally OR.. Develop smaller version of it.

Does this seem like too ridiculous for a modern fighter? I'm imagining something of a cross between an F-22 and an SU-30:

no.. it need more refinements.

Conceptual design part of aircraft often came up with unusual shapes and drawings. For example the first airliner De-Havilland Comet. Do you believe that the first conceptual drawing of Comet depicts rocketlike delta-canard aircraft with flush mounted jet engine ?

I plan on cutting back on the wing a little bit to allow room for the tailplane to be implemented, and make the engines more pronounced underneath. I'm taking an engineering class so when we're not doing actual classwork many a design will be sketched and played with in Inventor.

Hey everybody. My interest was less in cost effectiveness than it was towards combat effectiveness, specifically trying to figure out would would be most in line with previous combat experience with Be-12s and An-26s (of which Ukraine's Navy has two each). I have heard that the Be-12 could carry AShM's, but have not found mention of what specific model, and never seen one mounted on a Be-12. What's more, Ukraine appears to lack any dedicated AShM's, possessing only Kh-29, 25, and 23 AGMs, of which only the very short range Kh-25/3 might be able to be carried on a Be-12. Given the short range, and anyhow unconfirmed ability to carry AShMs, I wanted to know what a Be-12's bombs would be able to do to enemy targets. It's interesting to hear of the effectiveness of dumb bombs, seeing as smart bombs and the like tend to steal the show nowadays.

Would you recommend high level or skip bombing as a tactic for the Be-12? High level bombing would keep it out of MANPADS range, but reduce accuracy.

Or Gabriel AShMs from Israel. The (latest) Mk 4 version has a range of 200 km, and a 240 kg warhead. The Mk 5 version will have a seeker that is improved for use in the littoral environment.

My air force uses genuine Soviet designs such as: mig-21, mig-29 fulcrums, Mig-25 Foxbat, and SU-27 Flankers. And that's our aggressor aircraft fleet.

We have money! Just not very much... :)

I might consider land based missiles eventually, but as I've said I enjoy trying to make do. It involves a certain amount creativity.

I think my next RP will be against one of my friends from University, pitting Be-12s against an infiltration of Russian frogmen in Mariupol. Can't wait to test out those LA-92s littoral capabilities against minisubs and sdvs.

Interesting stuff, but can anybody identify the different kinds of bombs in the picture of the weapons spread on page 7?

France tends to make things cost more in weapons sales. Mostly because they are a non-US/Russia supplier.

Exocets actually makes sense. Europe is already on the hook for the billions they have already lent, which they will never see if they don't cough up more money down the road. Forever, or until everyone stops pretending and Ukraine defaults.

France is unlikely to complain if some of this money gets steered back to them in the form of arms sales. Since they are sort of paying themselves.

Got bored, so I converted my attack submarine to vaguely resemble CONFORM. Fuk u Rickover! No sails for me!

Just have to figure out where to place the bridge. Even without the CONFORM not-sail I might keep the stretched bow and back fit it, along with the modified snorkel. I darkened the hull, still have to darken the torpedo tubes to match.

Anything else missing? I've always felt it looks relatively bare, but it's a submarine, so it shouldn't have very many external features.

I'm really sorry to keep asking about these things but they're like the Ikea beds of control surfaces.. Are the canards on the Su-33 considered close-coupled or long-arm?
Image
They're close to the wing but about level with it and this report says they have to be above it to get the close coupled effect?
Getting them to fit like that on a smaller plane has been a real pain so far.

So I do have a question regarding coloration. I have noticed that many nations use a very drab coloration scheme for their combat aircraft. I do understand something about this, and do know (at least from my admittedly quite limited experience) that it was intended as a reduced visibility thing. However, if one were to have a smallish amount of bright colors (along control surfaces and the "spine" of the aircraft, and as roundels on the ailerons, underneath the cockpit, and on the wing) would visibility be so massive that I shouldn't do it and that I'm a bad person for trying? Or is the impact minimal?

Colouration is generally bad. The dull grey used on USAF fighters, especially the F-22, is ideal.
