Well, it's an unexplained phenomenon, but we have dragons. They are actually natural in the Pacific. The Holy Corporate Empire of Dragonisia, a country which we border through our colonial islands in the south of our region, is mainly populated by intelligent dragons.

We have the Wild Derplet that roams free in UKK's lush forests. Our main course for dinner is called the Maldanian De Furose which is frazai-Ac for fancy big fish of feast. The fish inside that delectable meal is called the Mak Mak, It swims in small ponds, streams, and shallow rivers. We have lots of flying creatures such as the Gargantuan Sea-Flyer. It's wingspan is over 8 feet wide and is 3 feet tall. It is a fish eating bird with a long neck and beak to grab it's pray and swallow it hole.

Pretty much anything you can find in real world's northern hemisphere, bears, foxes, deer, tigers and so on. Some notable other animals include 5 species of dragons, 3 of them are completely endemic, changelings, unicorns, pegasi and various other mythological creatures. However, these creatures do not hold ANY of their mythical powers, they aren't capable of speech or magic and none of the dragons breathe fire. Every now and then mermaids/mermen are seen in western coast.

We have the Vaderska, which is a large wolf-like creature with brown fur. Soled is very special for being the only continent without mammals, so we are in something called the Post-Cambrian age, and all of our animals derive from the animals from the Cambrian age. However, mammals were imported 200 years ago, causing some damage to the native wildlife. There is also a minority of other sapient species.

We have your standard collection of zoo animals frolicking in our forests (or what's left of them ). We also have the reanimated corpse, which is more intelligent than the standard zombie. It eats raw meat instead of humans and is one of the three indigenous species of Lychgate, the other two being the gelatinous worm and the deadfish.

The Melvonian two-toed tree sloth frolics freely in our nation's many lush forests. "Frolicking" here meaning "just sort of hanging around staring into space." They're adorable but they make terrible zoo animals because of their unmatched ability to do literally nothing for hours on end. They are, for obvious reasons, our national animal. The forests are home to many other strange and exotic creatures, including the Trufflehog, the Feathered Boa, the Harmless Frog, the Whooping Monkey, the Greater Striped Smart Ass and the Biebird.

Our official national dog is the Melvonian Schnuzhund. Resembling a fatter, fluffier Irish wolfhound and not the brightest of breeds, historians are sure it must have been bred for some purpose in the late Middle Ages, but still have no idea what that purpose might be.

The broad-banded pigeon is heavily depolyed as part of our nation's communications infrastructure. They are slow, unreliable and poop everywhere. But at least they're not Internet Explorer.
