In our country it's legal but to make a establishment dedicated to it, you have to buy a license.

Female prostitution to cater to male clients is legal, yes. It was decriminalized (and began to be regulated) in 1999 during the term of our first Prime Minister.

The legality of prostitution is up to the individual Republics. In most Republics, prostitution is legal. In some Republics, it is regulated while in others it goes unregulated. Whether the minimum age to work as a prostitute is higher than the age of consent is also up to the individual Republics and also varies.

In a typical Republic, prostitution is legal, with the age of consent at 14, which is also the minimum age to work as a prostitute. It is untaxed, due to the Federation Constitution's ironclad prohibition on taxing anybody more than 10% of their income, and is only lightly regulated (regular STD testing and a require to provide adequate protection to the customer at no additional charge, upon request).

Legal, regulated, and taxed for revenue.
Prostitution is legal via registered brothels and host/hostess clubs. "Street-walking" and "pimping" is illegal. Sex workers must maintain membership in a sex worker's union (of which there are several) and health/VD checks are mandatory.

What does your country say?

Only female (any adult can be a customer), adult age and consentient prostitution is legal, but is confined into purpose-specific brothels.
Prostitutes and their employers are grouped into the "Pleasure Buildings Corporation" (It: "Corporazione delle Case di Piacere") and send their own representatives to the lower house.

However, culturally, our prostitution isn't much like in other nations. Our prostitutes nearly always have degrees in psychology (oftentimes PhDs), and offer some kind of psychological or spiritual service to their customers.

are you implying that individuals who pay for sex need some sort of psychological or spiritual consultance?

Completely legal, though with permissive Kahanistanian sexual attitudes, where a person of any gender can go into a bar, get someone of their preferred gender drunk or high on whatever, and casually ask them for sex without being treated as a monster if the other person isn't interested, there is relatively low demand for paid sex except among old or unattractive people, or those with kinks considered strange even in Kahanistan. Undercover police do occasionally visit brothels, more to ensure the well treatment of the prostitutes than to shut them down or make sure the prostitutes are of age. However, if a prostitute mentions to the undercover that they're twelve or younger the police start looking more closely at the ages of the prostitutes. If a few of them are underage the police simply remove them from the brothel and take them to the Department of Family Services. If a lot of them are underage it's assumed they're knowingly hiring underage prostitutes and the police begin a legal case to shut it down.

As legal and regulated as any other profession.

Along with regular sex workers, the profession of "sexual therapist" is on the rise [as seen on Beta colony in the Barrayar series], which is basically a licensed counselor/psychotherapist whose services can include (but are not limited to) sexual contact.

Yes, the bodily sovereignty of each individual is treasured here on Cato Island. If an adult wishes to make money off sex w/another consenting adult, why should the gov't stop them?

Of course it's highly regulated so as to curb STDs. ;)

I also play badminton and will represent my nation in the next Olympic. At that time, I'll be most likely replaced by my roommate here, Arina. She works at the grocery store next to our apartment.

Why are you saying bad things about me, Rima? I am an author and I own that grocery store!
Oh look! She won the gold medal. Now I should stand her bragging about it.

Prostitution is legal. It is regulated by a sub-sector of the Departments of Health and Industry. Independent prostitutes are free to operate without licence but have a doctor's clearance. Brothers and agencies are required to have an operating licence.
