This is the busiest airport in the world, and was originally designed based on ViZion City International Airport, which, unfortunately, is no longer around after ViZion Italia was taken over by hostile Doomani forces.
Definitions:
What is a Mega-Sector? A Mega-Sectors houses 400 Concourses. Large enough for two amusement parks and a zoo. Houses 32 million gates.
What is a Sector? A Sector houses 200 Concourses. Large enough to have an amusement park in them. Houses 16 million gates.
What is a Concourse? A Concourse houses 200 terminals. Houses 80,000 gates.
What is a Terminal? A Terminal houses 400 gates.
What is a Gate? A Gate is where the plane docks at.
What is a Cargo Terminal? A Cargo Terminal houses 100 cargo gates and has a 30,000 square foot warehouse.
What is an Arrival Runway? An Arrival Runway is a runway for flights arriving at the airport. Located on the eastern side of the airport.
What is a Departure Runway? A Departure Runway is a runway for flights departing from the airport. Located on the western side of the airport.
What is a Tower? A Tower is the communication center between the airport and the airplate.
Specs on VIA:
VIA covers roughly 110,000 square miles - it is like its own state. There is enough room for companies to buy plots of land for stores, hotels, even a mall! It is large enough to be seen from space with ease and is shaped like a "V", so day or night, you can spot where ViZion is by looking for the V.
In the Sectors and Mega Sectors, there's room enough for a zoo and a small amusement park, as well!

To Help Traveler Anxiety...
VIA is dedicated to help making your travels as enjoyable as can be! As such, on-site stores, restaurants, and hotels are a few of the places to relax. In addition, your airline may have their club lounge located here. However, if not, we have gaming rooms with the NIN 5000's for people to play, gyms, showers, and televisions with sports, news, musics, and shows to relax to. In addition, we offer comfortable seats at your gate!
These are just a few of the ways we make your traveling experience at VIA as enjoyable as possible!
Security Measures:
All vehicles (buses and taxi's included) along with walkins will be thoroughly searched, including all baggage. Again, before entering the buildings, they will be searched.
At the checkin desks, all baggages will be thoroughly searched. When checked in, travellers will head to the security checkpoints. All people will be searched, as well as the baggage. These reside right behind the check-in areas, around the wall.
As you head on into a mega-sector, sector, concourse, or terminal, again, the same search will happen. Once again, it will happen at the gate before entering onto the flight.
When picking up your checkin bags, they will be checked before you leave the enclosed area to make sure they are yours. At the same place, you will go through strict customs, not allowing any food or beverages past that point. (Domestic flights go through a seperate area.)
There are also two VIA police/security stations per Mega-Sector and one per Sector.
At all standard security checkpoints at your airport, any travellers booked on a flight to ViZion must be thoroughly searched, as well as all their luggage (checkin's must be checked as they checkin at the front desk.)
In the boarding area, before they board, they must again go through the same thoroughly search. Before the checkin luggage is put in the plane, it must again be thoroughly searched.
As they exiting the flight in ViZion, before entering the building, they, again, will be searched. These same searches will be performed to all those boarding any flights in ViZion (both domestic and international.)
Those airlines and nations having flights heading to ViZion will be required to have it manned by ViZionarian officials to overlook the opperation. Any red flags, and they will notify us.
Those nations who do not comply will not be allowed to have flights going into ViZion. We will also have spot-checks of your security. The times and dates are completely random. Those who fail will be dropped from being allowed to have flights going to ViZion.
Those nations found to be intentionally allowing dangerous people on board will be dropped, and depending on how severe it is, military action may be taken if you are found to be allowing terrorists or other dangerous persons into ViZion.
For Star Alliance Gate Sharing:
Those who do not agree with ViZionarian security measures will not be allowed to gate-share.
Transportation/Convenience/Comfort:
A massive subway system links the entire airport, from one end of the terminal to the other, from one part of the Sector to another. There are also moving sidewalks, courtesy vans that will drive you to where you need to go.
VITS (Vitalita International Transport System) all that, and more. The physicly handicapped are driven to where they need to go. Once you're cleared through all security coming into the city, you will take the subway to one of four locations: Taxi/Bus pickups, car rentals, car/van pickups, or the two rail systems - localRAIL and XRAIL. Those walking off will be taking to the car/van pickup area.
Both Vitalita's localRAIL and the national XRAIL rail systems are accessable at VIA.
