The Chief Justice (Malay: Ketua Hakim Negara), also known as the Chief Justice of the Federal Court, is the office and title of the head of the Tongkang Pechah judiciary system. The title has been in use since 1994. It is the highest position in Tongkang Pechah judicial system.

President of Tongkang Pechah through Executive Directive No. 21 had ordered a secret ballot was held to choose one of three qualified candidates.

  • Judge Ramli Halim Junid

    Ramli Halim Junid born in Lembah Berapit on 16 September 1947 is a most senior judge.He had his early education at Sir Abdul Hamid College, Lembah Berapit.
    Judge Ramli read law at the Middle Temple and was called to the English Bar in June 1966. In January 1967 he was called to the Tongkian Bar and commenced practice at Lembah Berapit and later Tanjung Laksamana. A former Chairman of the Tanjung Laksamana Bar Committee and for several years a member of the Tongkang Pechah Bar Council
  • Judge Burhanuddin Ghani

    A controversial figure, he held Senior Prosecutor position from 2003 to 2007. In August 2007, he courted controversy by suggesting the abolishment of English Common Law to be replaced by Islamic Syariah Law. Born in 1950 in Kota Lama, Judge Burhanuddin read law at Marinsovic Law College.

    Judge Jamal a.k.a 'JJ' Born in Lembah Taufan, he earned a B.A. from the Universiti Pentadbiran Kota Jebat in 1955 and an LL.B. from the University of Selat Riau Law School in 1963. He was in private practice in Lembah Taufan from 1980 to 1999. He was a judge on the Superior Court, Gunung Banang from 2010 till now. He also Legal Adviser to Pakatan Rakyat Party

TANJUNG LAKSAMANA: A controversial judge Burhanuddin Ghani was leading in Tongkang Pechah The Chief Justice polls by 50% votes against his rival Judge Ramli Halim Junid and Judge Salman Jamal.

He was quite surprised by the position of the candidate in the elections now that the his government's choice lagging behind pro-Muslim candidates

He reached his phone and started dialing, " connect me to Dr Archippos[ Head of Moorburgh Intelligence Service] .. '

" Dr , I want you to get into Judge Burhanuddin dossier ...

Tongkang Pechah The Chief Justice polls: Government-backed candidate out

TANJUNG LAKSAMANA: government's choice in a poll to determine who the new chief justice, fall far behind. Judge Salman Jamal aka JJ, just get one vote so far this news printed.

English education background, Judge Ramli, increasingly leaving the other candidates, including pro-Muslim candidates, Judge Burhanuddin. Judge Ramli read law at the Middle Temple and was called  to the English Bar in June 1966.

Referring the matter, Minister of Home Affairs, expressed his surprise with this situations. "JJ is the best candidate..

Opposition Leader welcomes this situation, it is quoted as saying, JJ should not be chosen because of the concern would not be fair.

Tongkang Pechah The Chief Justice polls: Sharia Court in every cities

TANJUNG LAKSAMANA: Judge Burhanuddin in an interview a while ago pointed out that pro-Muslim policy will continue if he is elected to be the chief judge.

He has shocked the nation with proposals to replace the existing law which stems from the common law of shariah law.

He plans to establish Shariah courts in every major city if they win this election
