I very much like this one, although it seems like it could be in need of a cheek rest.

Cheek rest? Bah! You'll use the hot spent cases as they're ejecting as a cheek rest, and you'll like it!

Dammit.

You're using paratroopers wrong if you intend to use them as guerrilla-forces.

Idrc though, but yes, they should carry more than three days of food if they're in the field for about four weeks.

Well, I mean to use parachutes to deploy them behind enemy lines where they will act as guerillas. Somewhat like the Green Berets. The parachutes are only to get them to the area that they will be maintaining. But thank you nonetheless.

Too much bullpup SKS for NS.

It has a Cold War prototype kinda look to it, doesn't it?

Actually this could still work. Have the trigger be interrupting the PCAPs, but still have a line of PCAPs behind (and in front; beauty of having a magazine that protrudes out the side instead of bottom) the trigger, so you can either attach a pistol grip and buttstock or a one-piece-fits-all rifle stock.

I can't help but think the trunnion and upper handguard could do with a little something thrown on them.

I was thinking about adding rails on the upper handguard, but figured the side receiver rail kinda made it pointless. I don't know how the AS Val disassembles, so I just left the trunnion as is until I can find a decent picture.

Then you intend to have them arm and train rebel forces? Parachute in and give them a biweekly supply drop of arms, ammunition medical supplies and food. that was one way vietnam's environment worked in favor of the US was that it was relatively easy to Drop in supplies for covert operations.

If you change the handguard to be more reminiscent of the SR-3M, then the trunnion is obscured (and the SR-3 does not have an obvious trunnion either).

Also, late-model VALs also appear to not feature exposed trunnion.

Is there any real difference, other than stock/barrel length, between the VSS and AS?

I feel your infantry divisions could do with battle tanks, though it doesn't appear to be mechanised. Is it just a motorised formation? I did see "light tanks" in there.

This is more a query for the Realism Consultancy Thread.

At the moment, yes, the Infantry divisions aren't truly mechanized. One of my armored divisions is in the process of trading L2A4 MBTs for L2A5s, so those tanks would probably be distributed to Infantry divisions that are likely to be deployed in the near future.

Also, I kinda forgot about the realism thread, thankyou.

I'd like to know more about the UTS-15, particularly whether or not it would be suited for military use in an MT or PMT setting.
Image
It seems good on paper: relatively high capacity, dual tubes, pump action to allow for cycling of even lower-powered ammunition, and a compact bullpup configuration, but there are probably some disadvantages and downsides I've missed.

It just looks huge and bulky and it's probably heavy.
Especially for combat use, you'd want a much smaller and lighter shotgun, hence the existence of underslung weapons.
