Your Nations Stance on the Syria Situation

Postby Boer Republic of South Africa » Wed Sep 04, 2013 1:40 pm

OOC: There has probably been countless threads on this but oh well

South Africa has no plans of military intervention in Syria and no plans to support either side involved in the conflict. We also have no plans to recognise the Syrian National Council as a legitimate government as the only legitimate representative of the Syrians (for the moment anyway) is the Al-Assad Government.

We will provide peacekeeping troops to Syria at some point in the near future
Disclaimer!!! This is not an apartheid nation, I do not support any sort of apartheid and I am not South African! Just incase you were wondering!

Syria is only an Ottoman province, therefore it's nobody's business but the Turks. Also, we don't intervene in other nations unless we are directly threatened by a faction.

Though not directly involved, we support Assad and his forces.

In the event that the UN or US would take action against Syria, we would urge Russia, China, and Iran to get involved, and provide support ourselves.

Both sides were terrorists. We could care less who supported who. We were proud of our predecessors for taking action, at least. Something needed to be done. It pretty much ended like *transmission lost*.

Collateral damage to Syria will result in rebels taking over the country and the US Americans will end up fighting endless insurgency. Liberionian soldiers are in the same situation at the homefront but to actually protect the country.

You speak good truth son. I can't say the same about all the douchebags on the Yahoo comment boards.

*Ahem*

They keep going on about how if we go in there, we'll be the police force of Al Qaeda and stuff.

Image

The big factor here for governments to think about is the evidence provided. Since THEY support getting involved, the proper way to do so would be to figure out who did it. We don't have any evidence that supports that Assad or terrorists did this. Anyone who tried to find it got shot up by snipers

We applaud the US for intervening and stopping the use of chemical weapons. We believe Syria is a chaotic place with a unfit and corrupt government, which needs to be totally shut down and replaced with something that is efficient.

*cough bullshit *cough faked *cough rebels *splutter

Currently the Kalari Government has decided not to take any action on Syria as it see's this as a civil war in which the countries future should be decided by its own people, it refuses to acknowledge that there is credible evidence to prove the Assad regime has used chemical weapons and hopes for a peaceful end to the crisis.
