The systems of measurement in Muralos used in common life are somewhat divided by race; sometimes, when referring to cooking, the Russian unit of weight "pood" is used. In other areas, Chinese-derived/Japanese terms are referred to in conversation as rough estimates of something, “寸" (close to 1 inch in the US customary system), “里" (li, about 1 mile in length). But officially, Muralos has used the metric system since its independence from Japan in 1945.

Cankristia recognizes the metric system as the most sensible due to it's compatibility with the base 10 number system.

Not using Metrics is considered as absurd as counting to 6 instead of 10.

For some things, yes, and for some things, no. For instance, we use Kelvin rather than Celsius.

We have noticed the love that totalitarian states have for making everything metric. We don't wish to imitate them.

We recognize both the English system (inches, etc.) and the metric system (centimeters, etc.). As long as it's understood, the system doesn't matter.
