The only actual newspaper in the Empire is Jboje'u (Lojbo Truth), an independently-owned nationwide news organization which publishes in Lojban. Although their main method of publishing is through the Internet, they also sell papers at subway stations in several major cities.

Most Lojbos get their news through the Internet, and Jboje'u's website is by far the most visited news site in the country. Linguistic minorities have their own websites too, like The Lojbo Empire Herald (English), El Mercurio (Spanish), and المدينة (Al-Madīna, Lojbo Arabic). However, none of those sites print papers.

Although not the main newspaper the certainly most popular one is the satirical political commentary paper Das Barbar (the barbarian). The newspaper produces articles about events in foreign lands through the looking glass of our own national pride and spirit. Thus it provides valuable news about the outside world and endless hours of entertainment along with it. Notable issues of the newspaper include the by now famous 9/11/2011 issue with the title "Silly barbarians play chicken with buildings and lose". A joke that has become a part of our culture by now.

The Terminal started as a parody news blog, but it evolved into the largest independent news nexus on the NeuroNet. However, it has yet to forget its comedy origins and will still show the news through their snarky, sarcastic eyes. Either that, or sarcasm has become our default language and we have yet to notice.
