The Modern Communist Party is a significant party in Conscentia. It aligns itself with (reformist) communism; Libertarian socialism; Left-libertarianism; Trade Unionism; & Syndicalism.
If trends continue it is set to make notable gains in the next elections.

In addition, there are other communist groups, though the Modern Communist Party is the largest by far.

Communism is very unpopular in Tierra Sol. Legally, the Communist Party is allowed to meet but there are only 31 members. They and their families live in a gated community on an outlying island to escape strong anti-Communist sentiment on the main island.

Communism is discouraged and banned here. This is due to the fact that that filthy scoundrel Tapioca, who was a socialist, was supported by those foolish Communists over in Borduria, Cuba, and the Soviet Union. Right after the Picaros Revolution was over, General Alcazar exiled all Communist leaders out of the country (rather than executing them, as per the wishes of a companion of his). Communism remains repressed here in Costa Oro ever since.

Bodobol is an officially socialist nation and promotion of other economic philosophy, excluding communism, is punishable by time in prison, and, as such, it is very hard to find any books promoting capitalism in Bodobol.

EDIT:

The Volgenian regime has fallen, and now Bodobol is still socialist, but promotion of capitalism is allowed under freedom of speech now.

Savolica was founded on the premise of destroying communism, however all of that has changed with the recent coup d'etat of the fascist capitalist government. As it stands now, the government of Savolica respects the idea of communism, but not the implementation of it.

In fact, one could say that the new government may try to push some communist policies without committing completely to it.

Communism is seen as an ideological disease, an illness that must be purged from this world by all that is good and right. We as a people and government detest the idea of Communism and seek out and destroy it whereever we find it within ourselves. Communists themselves are harassed to the point of assault so most have learned to shut up about it for their own good health because no one will come to help them should they spout off about the glories of Marx and Patterson only to find themselves surrounded by angry monarchists.

There are no political parties in our nation, and due to the North being formerly occupied by the Soviet Union, most Rombergians despise Stalinism, probably just less than Nazism. Unfortunately this also means that Communism is not very popular. Only around 50000 would be actually sympathetic to Communism.

However, thoughts of Communism is entirely legal, and a Communist was elected to the Grand Council two terms ago, although he has since retired.

Communism has been repudiated by the Ieperitic people to a massive degree, such to the point that the largest and most successful "communist" party in the nation was a joke party, whose candidates were exclusively trained clowns that as a rule abstained from voting on or proposing any legislation, and entertained the populace through wacky antics during press conferences. It had won a total of two seats, two more than any other party that openly showed sympathy towards communism, in the Ieperitic House of Representatives. This was namely due to protest votes and the seats were not controlled at the same time, nor were they from the same district or state. The ICP eventually lost the public's attention and died out, and though a variety of imitator parties occasionally spring up, they have yet to win any elections, or, indeed, capture more than 30% of the popular vote at any given time.

Communistic values that are along the lines of Trotskyism and Leninism are admired and praised. However, Centrist Communism (Stalinism, Maoism, etc.) are very much looked down upon as abominations and false ideologies of Marxism. The progressives and leftists of our great nation do believe in strong regulation of buisiness, but also very much value civil rights and will pretty much go up in arms if civil and political freedoms are threatened.

There is no law against being a communist but the majority of the population are against the ideal. Also the Sivent Communist party in recent years has been losing what supporters it had to the far more moderate Socialist Labour Party.

there are no laws forbidding communal organizing of cooperative activities.
capitalism and marxism are ideologies from a world, earth, not our own.
