We don't have a police, but instead we have a fuckton of automaton guards to protect law and order. They can be equipped with pretty much every infantry weapon up to date, but mostly they use weapons so heavy that normal human cant carry them. They look something like this.

Generally they have a sidearm that's always with them and several situational weapons in their vehicles.

Sidearm varies from city to city, but most forces seem to have settled on polymer 9mm semi-automatic pistols.

Situational weapons are generally either a 9mm sub-machine gun or a 5.56mm carbine, a 12-gauge shotgun (pump or semi, depending on department) and a .308 or .270 caliber bolt-action rifle. Note that these are for emergency "shootout" situations and are kept in the vehicle, not carried as standard issue.

The main police weapon of Florensica is the SIG P226.

K-3 Ghazi, the same standard issue assault rifle of the Kahanistanian Defence Forces. 30 rounds of 6.8x43mm goodness. Fires 350 rounds per minute so a little slower to empty the mag than an AK-47, has a two round burst mode with a cyclical rate of 2700 rounds per minute as well as a semi-auto mode. That kind of firepower is needed due to our liberal gun laws which let anyone buy a full auto assault weapon with no background or mental check or even ID. The same liberal gun laws also mean the police are rarely needed to respond to active shooters, who are usually shot down before the police arrive. Standard response to an active shooter is to call EMS to pick up the wounded. Kahanistanian EMT's generally carry weapons and are unafraid to enter danger zones and many of them are former combat medics.

All officers carry a nightstick/baton and a Nagant Revolver along with handcuffs ect, and each car has two SKS carbines inside a locked box for officers to use in a situation that calls for it.

All police carry a NA-98 Laser Rifle and a NA-9 Laser Pistol as well as a stun baton (usually set to a level that can stun a GEM so it would probably fry a baseline human).

The police also wear the same body armor and helmet type as our army but the armor is generally set to a black color scheme.

For counter terrorist operations the police have access to the full arsenal of our armed forces and request everything that will assist them in preserving public order, from a squad of special forces all the way to a battleship to pursue a criminal.

The Mechanocracy's armed police units usually carry older firearms than the military, most commonly AKS-74u carbines and MP412 revolvers. They are also equipped with incapacitation weapons of various kinds, ranging from stun guns to modified plasma repeaters. However, for the vast majority of situations involving danger where a firearm would be required, the military's Civil Pacification Units usually take over from the police.

The A.S.S.C. police forces don't really have a standard issue weapon, but the majority of states use the following weapons. (I will add pictures as soon as my desktop computer is functional again.)
Sidearm:
The main sidearm of most states is the Heckler and Koch Mark 23. It may be large, but its weight makes it easier to use with the .45 ACP round it fires.

Some states are adopting the smaller yet more reliable P001. It uses the 7.5×22mm Special Police round, which is optimized for minimum recoil, yet high accuracy and stopping power.

Non-Lethal:
Every riot control team uses the MGL105, a licensed copy of the XM25 CDTE. Each round is loaded with tear gas or rubber rather than explosives.

For when there isn't that big of a threat, the Mossberg X-12 is used instead.

Rifles:
S.W.A.T. snipers tend to use the Accuracy International AWP rifle, due to the accuracy of that series of rifles.

The National Counterterrorism Unit uses something a bit more powerful. The R260 uses the .408 Cheyenne Magnum round to great effect. It is based off of the AS50's action, allowing low recoil, with extreme accuracy, even at long ranges.

For when situations get dangerous, the IMI Galil assault rifle is the most popular in the A.S.S.C., due to it being an example of Israeli genius and AK-47 toughness.

S.W.A.T. teams use the Alexander Arms Beowulf .50-Cal rather than the Galil. .50 Beowulf has been proven to be extremely effective against most targets mobsters use against police forces.

N.C.T.U. officers also use the Beowulf .50-Cal, but they also use the HK416 for when an AR-15 derivative would be undesirable.

Melee:
Most officers use standard riot truncheons. The fish whacker is becoming more popular recently, though.

S.W.A.T. and N.C.T.U. tend to use Mark 1 Kevlar-backed fiberglass riot shields.

Shotguns:
Officers tend to have an Ithaca 37 Deerslayer in the car just in case.

S.W.A.T. teams are usually armed with the SG350, a licensed copy of the Atchisson AA-12.

Body Armour:
Standard body armour of most police forces in the A.S.S.C. is the Mark 5 Flak Jacket. It is able to resist most rounds up to and including 5.56mm NATO.

S.W.A.T. teams are issued the heavier but more protecting Mark 10 Mod 3 Dragon Skin. This vest resists most rounds, but 12.7mm rounds tend to shatter the ceramic plating. .338 Lapua Magnum and .408 Cheyenne Magnum also can punch through the armour.

N.C.T.U. uses both of those armours.
