Uniforms are not required except during military training exercises.

However there are restrictions on the types of clothes allowed at school (ie; No promotion of illegal things)

Are students required to wear uniforms in school? Yes.
If so, what do they wear? This is the official guidelines, although some schools may modify this, but only a little. This is for up to secondary schooling, though I cannot say for college and universities.

For Males, Academic:

-White short-sleeved button-down shirt with blazer (for summertime), white long-sleeved button-down shirt with jacket (for wintertime, does not really apply in Leanbox).
-Slacks for grade 7 to 12
-White socks for grade 1 to 6, black socks for grade 7 to 12.
-Black or brown leather shoes.

For Females, Academic:

-White short-sleeved blouse, with jacket during the wintertime (again, does not really apply in Leanbox).
-Skirts, no more than 15 cm over the knees in length.
-White knee-high socks for grade 1 to 6, black knee-high socks for grade 7 to 12.
-Black or brown leather shoes. Boots are allowed, provided they are at least 8 cm below the knees. Heels and wedges are allowed, provided they are no higher than 10 cm. (One school reportedly requires high heels or wedges for shoes.)

Unisex, PE:

-White T-shirt, with jacket for wintertime.
-Jogging pants.
-White socks.
-White rubber shoes.

THIS NATION USES A FEW NS STATS
This nation is Hyperdimension and Ultradimension in the Neptunia universe, where the nations decided to become a union à la European Union. This is set in MT, although the tech level is early PMT. What would you expect? It's Neptunia.
Do you even Nep, bro?

No uniforms at all, it's considered a sign of oppression and takin' down civil rights. Students can wear everything they want.
Skyhooked is MT/PMT with a few FT elements. Military is factbook only. NS stats are mostly non canon.

School uniforms are associated with the UK, a very hated Allied nation. So this nation does not have them.
This nation is getting a complete makeover. Facts and policies posted before 2019 are NOT accurate.

Yes. Although uniforms themselves are not legally required by schools in Nui-ta, the practice of instituting a uniform policy is very, very commonplace, and there is no recognized right of individual expression through clothing in the conformist culture of Nui-ta. On the contrary, Nui-tan kids who wind up going to school in other countries often find it strange that there are no uniform policies, given that a uniform of any kind (work, military, school) is a sign of social status and that one is "in the proper place" socially. To not wear a school uniform to school is considered the mark of a delinquent.

However, the uniforms vary immensely depending on what age you are, what type of school you go to...generally, it starts out very relaxed (preschool and elementary school children must wear a certain shirt, bottom, and shoes, but are otherwise allowed some individual variation), and then gets more stringent as one ages, particularly if you wind up in military school where they can control everything from how high your socks are to how long or short your hair is.

I suppose I will try now to list a few examples.

Preschool Example

Note that there's some variation in non-essential elements, like shoes and socks. All they really care about are the shirt and pant/skirt.

Primary School Example
Primary School Example 2 (older children)

Some schools are very strict about their uniform policy, while others may allow you to wear a choice of a couple different types of outfits. It doesn't get very strict until secondary school.

Primary school lasts from 4-13 years of age.

High School (Academic)

Note that there's a greater degree of similarity from one student to another. Also, note how much more professional/business-like the uniforms are now --- certainly much more so than the primary school students.

High School (Military)

Does this even need explaining? Oh, well maybe I should mention that military schools in Nui-ta tend to be (but are not always) segregated by sex. More specifically, a military school will have two buildings, one mainly for males, and one mainly for females as a sister school. This practice is being abandoned slowly, with critics stating that in the actual military, there is no longer any such division and has not been in quite some time, while proponents of the practice state that it helps keep students on both sides less distracted.

There are other types of schools and niche avenues for education with different uniforms but I think I've covered the vast majority.

There are a lot of different uniforms depending on which school you go to. If a school is called gymnasium you aren't allowed to wear anything. 1/3 of all schools are gymnasiums.

Are students required to wear uniforms in school? Yes
If so, what do they wear? Depending on where they are in the nation, there are 3 uniforms:
In the west, the boys wear black suits and the girls wear black dresses with white aprons. In the east, they wear soviet pioneer uniforms. In the center, the boys wear khaki uniforms similar in appearance to the WWII red army uniform, while the girls wear floor length red dresses.

While schools do have the authority to require students to wear uniform, it is very uncommon in Zitru. Most public schools do not have a school uniform, but a lot of private schools do.

Yes most all schools have school uniform it varies by school for the specific uniform. Many schools charge a deposit fee for school uniforms but some especially municipal run city schools aswell as schools catering to the poor do provide it free of charge

In grade schools, students are required to wear uniforms. When it comes to private schools, apparel varies. The same applies to universities and community colleges.
'Preach the word! Be ready in season and out of season. Convince, rebuke, exhort, with all longsuffering and teaching. I charge you therefore before God and the Lord Jesus Christ, who will judge the living and the dead at His appearing and His kingdom: For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine, but according to their own desires, because they have itching ears, they will heap up for themselves teachers; and they will turn their ears away from the truth, and be turned aside to fables. But you be watchful in all things, endure afflictions, do the work of an evangelist, fulfill your ministry.' (II Timothy 4:1-5 NKJV)

Most schools in Rhodevus do not require uniforms except for military academies and certain private schools.

In military academies, all students, both male and female where button down shirts and long pants. Usually this contains a tie, though ties are not mandatory. On both the shirt and pants, a red stripe runs through them. All students must where a military cap in public, but are allowed to remove it on school grounds.

Private schools generally adhere to a similar dress code for males, while females where skirts.

Policies regarding uniforms are the responsibility of individual local education authorities and I many cases of the schools themselves.

His Majesty's government do publish guidelines which suggest that primary school pupils should wear some item of clothing featuring the school colour, name and/or logo. In practise this commonly takes the form of a "school" polo shirt which in many cases is supplemented by a school bag featuring a logo.

For high schools the guidelines suggest the continuance of a basic identifying garment whilst introducing shirts/blouses and ties in the junior years and encouraging a more business like dress code for pupils in senior years.

School uniforms are required by law to be worn in all schools prior to post-secondary, although many post-secondary schools also have uniforms.

The actual uniform design varies by school.
