Benedito-Franciscan Mission for the Practice of Diplomacy

Office of the Mission, San Benedict City
The Benedito-Franciscan Mission for the Practice of Diplomacy is one of the largest Lay Policy organizations in the See of San Benedict e San Francisco, established in 1847 at the request of the contemporary Cardinal Archbishop, in order to pursue friendly, peaceful relationships with neighbouring countries. One of few Lay Policy organizations to receive direct funding and support from the ecclesiastic branches of the government of San Benedict e San Francesco, the MPD is the largest governmental employer of the laity in the government.
Activities of the MPD in Your Nation
Outreach is the primary mission of the Mission, and we are always looking to add new Embassies and Consulates to our roster. If you would like to host an embassy in your nation, please send a telegram to Mister Adolfo Cantu, Director of Expansions, through our national telegraph service.
The Mission Invites You to Join Us
If you, like us, believe that effective and open diplomatic relations are the best way to foster peace throughout the world, we would love to have your own representatives within our country to liaise with our own officers. At present, the Mission is establishing foreign missions within the following locales:
- San Benedict - Located on the island of the same name, San Benedict is the largest, and capital, city of the See. A colourful, metropolitan city, it serves as a centre for industry and offers diplomats the best, fastest access to key officials such as the Mission and the Cardinal Archbishop.
- San Francesco - The seat of the diocese of the same name, and the largest city on the island of the same name, San Francesco is an important centre for military power, located near the headquarters of the Guardia Marine, and containing the master communications centre for the Guardia Terra. Serviced by an extensive rail network, it allows for ready access to some of the more picturesque natural landmarks in the nations, as well.
- San Isidoro - An important agricultural hub, the busy, albeit rather small, city of San Isidoro is a popular choice among nations more interested in being able to feel the life pulse of the people themselves, rather than the composed imagery of more governmental quarters. Rural San Isidoro, on San Benedict Island, is a bastion of traditional customs and lifestyle for the See.
