Hammer probably ought to be a little more exposed. As it stands, it looks like it'd be hard to get your thumb on top of and pull down. I could see missing it or sliding off when trying to cock it in a hurry.

I was thinking primarily from a 'strength of mounting' point of view. If the pivot wraps around the edge of the gas tube, as it connects to the fixed receiver, that is surely one of the strongest parts of the rifle, let alone the trunnion itself.

Not sure if I'm following what you're saying, but where it's mounted now is perfectly suitable for a handle strength-wise. If it were to pivot over from the left-hand side like the FAL handle does, you'd likely run into issues with any optics mounted on the left-hand side of the receiver.

No, you're not.
What that appears to be, is a small hinge welded onto the receiver.
Which would appear to be significantly less strong than were you to wrap the handle's mounting around the trunnion. Or frankly even mount it on a rail.

Lengthen the trigger guard. There isn't much room for a finger there, especially gloved.

It is not delayed blowback, but uses a scar style tappet piston, probably better than the famas, but still fugly.

Its really just a lineart of the MAC M-10 for practice purpose. IIRC M-10 is blowback operated, which would probably explain the compact frame. Anyway, will be touching up trigger guard and doing up a few more details like fire selector, and after that I will likely move on to a pistol. Kard maybe? Kard is boxy (read: easier) and I think Corda haz Kard fetish too.

It's longer overall than almost any battle rifle cartridge, so I'd guess no.
Shorten it to ~30-35mm cartridge and neck it down to 7-8mm and you could have an Ulfran-sized PDW cartridge.

The Ulfranes Haer's cartridge types always tend to have that "Horn of Africa-beast slaying hunter vibe", so, potentially something of the kind for a Lewis Gun clone for jeep mounting maybe. Or a survival carbine for pilots.
