The Caledonian Catholic Church | Eaglais na Caitliceach na h-Alba | Caledonian Cathlic Kirk | Église catholique Calédonie
Welcome to The Caledonian Catholic Church. We are a Catholic Church based in Scotland. Officially formed in 1828, is not the official religion of The Scots Republic (it's a secular state) but has been very important in the history of this nation.
We, the Kirk are looking to expand our horizons and build chapels overseas, so please apply if you'd like churches built in your nation.
Policies and Practices of The Kirk
-Same Sex Marriage and LGBT Ordainment. All LGBT people-in the eyes of the Kirk-have the same rights as all others.
-Voluntary Celibacy of Clergy. Clergy do not have to be celibate if they don't wish it.
-The Right of Women in Abortion. The Church does not promote or denounce abortion. We see it as personal choice.
-Evolution. We believe that Evolution is true but that it is God's will for it to happen.
-Christenings & Communion. We believe that the best age to welcome someone into the Kirk is at birth, however we will Christen and/or give Communion to people of all ages.
-Respect for other faiths. We believe that respect for other faiths and interfaith dialogue is of extreme importance.
