Ancient History

CoolBoyGcp was first colonized by humans around the year 3500 BC. Ancient Japanese explorers had first discovered the nation then and began to colonize it. They called this land 新しい土地。, Atarashī tochi, or New Land. Within three-hundred years of the discovery of the nation; the population had already risen to over fifty-million citizens. The Japanese kept ahold of the island for over one-thousand years. Their reign soon came to an end, as the ancient Greeks discovered the nation and fought a bloody war with the Japanese to take the nation beginning in 2458 BC. to 1983 BC. This war is often referred to as "The 500 Years War", and was won by the Greeks in 1983 BC. It is said that millions perished in the war, and was the bloodiest war of ancient CoolBoyGcp. After the Greeks became rulers of the 150 million strong nation, they allowed the Japanese to stay in the nation as long as they pledged their allegiance to the Greeks; moreover the Spartans.

Soon the Greek and Japanese assimilated together, and this era of peace was considered "The First Golden Age of CoolBoyGcp". The Greeks also changed the name of the nation to "Η Γη από τον Ήλιο, or The Land of The Sun." The Greeks brought their culture, as well as their styles of art, architecture, writing, and language to the nation. The nation benefited greatly from the Greeks, and many of their philosophers wrote of CoolBoyGcp; which became a center of learning at the time. The First Golden Age lasted until 1250 BC. when the ancient Egyptians invaded and fought a war with the Spartans for over 15 years. The Spartans ultimately won the war, and once the war was over The First Golden Age resumed.

The nation did not have any war whatsoever again until around the year of 450 BC. when the Romans invaded Greece and occupied it. CoolBoyGcp was the last stronghold of The Greek Empire, but as the Greeks anticipated; the Romans invaded in 150 AD. The Greeks and The Romans fought for over one-hundred and fifty years, and it is said around 2-3 million perished from both sides. Eventually, The Romans won the war in 300 AD, and proceeded to enslave the majority of the native population of CoolBoyGcp. The Romans also were the ones who created the root of the name of the nation today. They called the nation 'Coolius Boyusius Gregorius Constantinius Preparius.' The Roman rule did not last long though, as the Roman Empire collapsed around 410 AD. The Romans in CoolBoyGcp decided to stay in the nation; instead of going back to war torn Rome. However, fifty years after the fall of Rome, the Romans remaining in CoolBoyGcp no longer had the resources to govern the nation and they simply assimilated into the native population. The many cities they had constructed were now largely abandoned or in ruins. And chaos and anarchy ruled in the nation for almost one-thousand years. This was considered "The First Dark Age of CoolBoyGcp".

Medieval History

It was not until the year 1455 AD. that law and order resumed. Spanish conquistadors discovered the nation after reading old maps depicting a continent in the vicinity of where CoolBoyGcp is situated. Spanish conquistadors found a once thriving, intellectual people who had transformed into a save, barbaric people who now lives in the jungles and forests instead of the large cities constructed by The Greeks, The Romans, and The Japanese. Spanish conquistadors were also shocked that the natives had not heard of Christianity; and instead practiced Polytheism. Once the Spanish learned of this fact, they began to slaughter the natives, and forced the remaining natives to convert to Catholicism. After thirty years of Spanish rule, the Dutch arrived and began to war with the Spanish. The Dutch also brought the Black Plague, as known as The Bubonic Plague to the nation; and though the Dutch were now largely immune to the disease, the natives weren't. Soon, one-third of the natives had died from this disease, decimating the native population.

The Dutch kicked the Spanish out of the nation, and the Spanish relocated to several archipelagos off the coast of the nation. The Dutch stopped the slaughter, and let citizens practice the religion they wished to practice.

In 1521 AD. the Mughals arrived in CoolBoyGcp, the Mughals decided to steer clear of the Dutch and decided to colonize southeastern and southern CoolBoyGcp; which the Dutch had not colonized yet. The Mughals taught the natives Hindi, and brought Hinduism, Islam and Buddhism; and began to colonize with millions of Mughal citizens to the nation. In 1555 AD, the Mughals decided that they needed more land, and began to invade central CoolBoyGcp; which the Dutch had colonized. The Dutch and the Mughals fought a war for fifteen years until the Dutch and Mughal decided organize a united nation so that the fighting stopped. It was to be a nation with both Mughal and Dutch values. In 1575 AD the united nation was founded and was called "De Nederlandse Mughal Koninkrijk der Warmer Lands or The Dutch Mughal Kingdom of the Warmer Lands."

But then in 1600 AD. the British came. The British came to the continent after hearing rumors of the existence of gold(the rumors were in fact true). The British brought dozens of armadas of huge ships to the nation; and they soon decimated the combined Dutch/Mughal nation, and soon became the sole ruler of the region. As previously, the Dutch and the Mughals stayed and assimilated into the nation. The British brought peace to the nation and united the various peoples of the nation together. The British called the colony ''The Crown Dependancy of Boyius Gregorius.", a nod to ancient Roman name of the nation.

In 1730 AD, the French decided to come to the nation after the rumors swirled of the gold of the nation. The British had made billions of Social Credits in mining gold, and they had only mined about 25% of the nation's gold. The French wanted the remaining 75% of the gold. And so in 1730 AD the French invaded the nation, ready to fight the British for what they wanted.

Pre-Modern History

Once the French arrived in 1730 AD, the British did not expect their arrival, thus the French began to gain the upper hand in the war for CoolBoyGcp. The war was bloody, and both sides were getting slaughtered. The fighting lasted until the year 1798 AD, when the British finally gained the upper hand and won the war against France. Only months after the war had ened between Britain and France; a radical new movement sprung into existence. The CoolBoy-born, yet British Prince at the time, Prince George II decided to rebel against Britain and organized a revolution against Britain to establish a CoolBoy-run government, a CoolBoy-run monarchy.

The war started when the rebels decided to burn down the parliament building in the capitol of Sterringshire; which infuriated the British, and started the civil war. The war was bloody, and lasted very long. The King of Britain at the time, King Phillip VIII was assassinated by his own son in 1801 AD. This further crippled Britain in the war, and in 1835; as Britain, damaged and wounded agreed to sign a peace treaty to give the rebels all other provinces except five which Britain would retain.

The treaty, and granting of independence caused joyous parades throughout the streets of the nation. Prince George II became His Royal Highness King George I of The Kingdom of CoolBoyiusGcp. This was the first government in CoolBoyGcp's entire history to be run by natives of the nation. This new nation was an absolute monarchy, and King George I ruled with a rough and often, unjust hand. The people tolerated this for a long time, and while Britain reformed, and the citizens in British CoolBoyGcp recieved better treatment; things in CoolBoyiusGcp stayed the same. In 1865, after thirty years of rule, King George I died under suspicious circumstances; and many speculated he was assasinated. King George II, his son then assumed the throne, and his reign was even harsher. All dissidents, and critics of the monarchy were executed. All criminals were executed as well. It is estimated that around 1.5 million people were executed during his rule.

The people had had enough of this; they organized an uprising against the monarchy in 1885 to abolish the monarchy. Rebels stormed one of the royal palaces and kidnapped the king, queen, and one of the princes; before setting the palace on fire, and burning it to the ground. The royals were taken to a secret cave in a forest in Northwestern CoolBoyGcp. The royal family stayed here for three years, and the nation descended into anarhy for the period of these years. The remaining royals organized a search for the royals, and in 1889 discovered the royal family and freed them from their captors. King George II once again assumed the throne, and began to continue the same practices he did previously. He also ordered that all of the suspected and actual conspirators of the revolution be executed. This occured, and for a long time many were afraid to stand up against him.

In 1898, as automobiles began to become popular in the nation, a rebel drove his car full of dynamite into the royal palace in George City, through their cast-iron gates and into the palace. The palace was destroyed, and the rebel, King George II, and other royal family members were all killed. The monarchy was furious, and decided to search for the rebels and execute them all. The monarchy began to burn down villages, trying to get the rebels. Though, the rebels had once again organized together in the forests of Northwestern CoolBoyGcp. The revolution chose an ideal, a radical, new idealogy. Marxism.

Early 20th Century History

The Marxist revolution had began and the Marxists began to march through the streets of George City, and other cities throughout the nation. The people began to support the revolution, and soon it was unstoppable. The monarchyt ried to quelm it, they tried to stop it but they were too late. The Marxists burnt the capital to ashes, they began to destroy all monarchy residences, and raid military bases for weapons and vehicles. In 1908, The Kingdom of CoolBoyiusGcp surrendered, and the monarchy was forced to go into exile in the British Dominion of British CoolBoyGcp.

The People's Republic of CoolBoyGcp was born. The first time communism had been ruling the nation was also the first time where the current name of our nation was used. CoolBoyGcp is an abbreviation of the original Roman name of the nation. The People's Republic of CoolBoyGcp was ruled by Premier Yurgi Invakoff, who held absolute power throughout the nation. the government held weekly national pride parades in the capital, as well as monthly ones is other cities. These pride parades would include hundreds, and sometimes even thousands of soldiers in order to show the power of the military to strike fear in the people of the nation, as well as foreign aggressors. The nation skirted through World War I unphased, and after the war, Lenin came to the nation to visit, and see how his principles worked in other nations. Even more propaganda was created to further exploit the visit of Lenin, and his motorcade was accompanied by dozens of tanks, and hoards of soldiers holding large rifles, or flags of The Soviet Union and CoolBoyGcp.

The government was highly authoritarian, as Stalinist propaganda was handed out to every citizen every day. All newspapers, radio stations, and media were controlled and owned by the government; and all of these media sources were thus, censored. The people that opposed the authoritarian rule were immediately executed in the capital city of George City, in the city center in front of many civilians to show them that this was what would happen if they resisted the government. Soon, after twenty years of Leninist rule, the public began to become tired of the civil unrest, as well as the genocide and oppression the government had done. Millions of CoolBoy citizens began to flood the border with British CoolBoyGcp and were granted asylum there. Even though the nation was facing a major crisis, the government only became more oppressive; and actually started to place soldiers kilometres into British CoolBoyGcp. This only furthered the anger and distrust between the nations. Soon, it was to happen, war was to begin. It had begun.

King Benjamin IV of British CoolBoyGcp had become furious about the PRC's placement of soldiers in their nation, as well as their oppression of their citizens. Since British CoolBoyGcp and the PRC had become seperated, British CoolBoyGcp had reformed and now was a constitutional monarchy with a Prime Minister, Parliament, and constitution. PRC was completely different and stayed the same as they were, and if not became worse, when they gained independence. The British had been secretly funding and supporting resistance and revolutionary forces in CoolBoyGcp, as they had grown tired of their oppressive neighbouring state, and wanted them gone. It also seemed that The People's Republic of CoolBoyGcp also wanted British CoolBoyGcp gone as well. And to British CoolBoyGcp's surprise, the PRC declared war on them in 1928. CoolBoy tanks and soldiers rolled into British territory, in the beginning the PRC had the upper hand. But then the British took an extreme measure. The British set the capital afire, which within days burned completely to the ground. Premier Yurgi Invakoff, his family, as well as 500,000 others were killed in this arson. Once the center of the PRC government was gone, the PRC regime began to crumble. And though they knew that their regime would soon end, they were in denial; the elected Yurgi's son, Dimitri Invakoff, who beg a an offensive against the British tougher than before. The PRC army began to move deeper and deeper into British CoolBoyGcp, and eventually reached the capital of the territory, Sterringshire. For three months, The PRC army occupied the city of Sterringshire, as well at this British territory. This infuriated Britain, and after three years of fighting; Britain decided to use a newfound technology against the PRC government. Missiles.

Soon, Britain launched dozens of missiles into PRC, destroying the new capital, Новая Москва
, or New Moscow. The missiles also decimated farmland, factories, and more; effectively shutting down the entire economy of The PRC. This only furthered PRC, but to show their might; the PRC began to executed thousands of citizens left and right. They also began to execute British citizens residing in British territory. There was another battle brewing as well, the governments of Calizorinstan and the PRC were in a dispute over desert land, and one of the highest mountain ranges in the nation; Mount George. Soon, Calizorinstan agreed to assist the British in their battle against PRC. And after five years of occupation of British territory, and ten years of war, British and Calizorinstani forces began the invasion of the PRC, and within months, occupied the entire nation. The nation had lost many of it's citizens, many of whom moved to Alteria, The Soviet Empire, and even Calizorinstan! Even after the allies took over the new capital, Dimitri sat atop the ruins of the city, the ruins of the nation, and famously said, "I have not lost this war. The imperialists have not, and shall not win. Eventually, whether it be today, tomorrow, or years from now; imperialism shall fall. And socialist, and communism shall rise up against the imperialist, capitalist filth that are the British, the Calizorinstani, the Americans, and the Japanese. Within time, they shall all fall, and true socialism, true marxism, true communism shall rise again. I have not lost this war, no I have only heightened the flames of the wildfire that is The Leftist Revolution, and once a wildfire gets to large, it cannot be stopped. This is the same as our Leftist Revolution, and we cannot be stopped, we shall only continue to gain strength, continue to gain momentum, and continue to grow. Yes, the imperialists are major powers now, but the left shall and has risen against their filthy powers, and we shall obliterate their kind to oblivion!", these were the famous words he spoke, as the British and Calizorinstani forces took him in and arrested him. One month later, he was taken to trial an he was sentenced. Death, this was what the British sentenced him too. One month after the sentencing, Dimitri Invakoff was executed by gassing. His body was paraded through the streets from Sterringshire to George City.

After the PRC was overthrown, the British ruled the nation for three years. These three years were the best years for the nation for a long time. This was to be considered, "The Third Golden Age" of the nation. The British reestablished Sterringshire as the capital, and rebuilt the city of George City. They made George City much larger than it previously was, and it soon became the largest city in the nation. The reason for the exponential growth was because George City aside from being a new city, was a port city; which made it an easy and desirable destination for immigrants. Towards the end of British rule it's population grew to over five million.

The British decided to establish a more stable native government, one that matched their ideals, was similar to their own, and would be a great ally and partner to The United Kingdom. They established The United Kingdom of CoolBoyGcp in 1941. It was ruled by His Royal Highness King George Poulos III of CoolBoyGcp, a direct descendant of the former kings of British CoolBoyGcp, and of the British Royal Family. The British kept their territory in CoolBoyGcp, and expanded their territory ten-fold; effectively making them hold 10% of the land that makes up the nation today.

The nation reveled in the newfound freedom, though it still wasn't as free as the nation is today; it was nonetheless freerer than previously. The nation soon had another problem on it's hands; it had been unscathed by World War I, World War II would drastically affect the region. The Stalinist regime had formed great bonds with the newly-developing star of the German political world, Adolph Hitler. This is why the Germans never targeted the nation previously. But now, with the former regime out, Hitler wanted to rid the world of the British and their allies, so in August 1941, the Nazis landed on the shores near Akrios, Acedae, CoolBoyGcp and began their battle and occupation with and of CoolBoyGcp. This event became known as "The August Atrocity".
