Official Diplomatic Communiqué From the Holy Empire of Stevid
The Holy Empire of Stevid is for the first time in its long and illustrious history is openly announcing to the world that it is beginning a new embassy exchange programme. Years of simply sitting quiet and waiting for willing nations to ask for an embassy are gone and Stevid is looking to increase diplomatic relations with the rest of the world better make discussion between governments all the more easier with face-to-face talks.
All the buildings are pre-constructed but planning permission is immediately granted to those nations that believe our embassy buildings do not fully accommodate the needs of your nation. Rules are strict to prevent terrorism and internal struggles within the capital city and must be adhered to or expulsions will be the immediate consequence.
All pre-constructed buildings include:
- 3 Stories high (Unless otherwise stated)
- Includes basement garage for four cars
- Security Room with a weapons locker and full coverage CCTV camera screens for the whole compound
- Several rooms for administrative affairs
- 1 main reception
- 1 main meeting room
- Rear garden
- Small front garden
- 1 Helipad (On request- can be denied by the state)
- Medical Bay
- Library
(Note some embassy buildings consist of one or more buildings, the lowest address number of the two is used in the address tag)
(Your nation will be allocated an embassy, choice will be granted only to Stevid's well known and trusted friends- You know who you are).
Rules:
Article I: All workers and visitors to the embassy must wear an identification tag to show who they are. All tags will be bar coded and will be unique to that person. Visitors will be given a visitors tag and will have limited access to the building interior.
Article II: The embassy of whatever nation it belongs to thus becomes foreign soil and solely belongs to that country. However extensions to the building will have to be authorised by the Planning Permission Office (permission will usually be granted).
Article III: Personnel within the embassy must not exceed 80, defence staff must not exceed 40.
Article IV: Defence personal are permitted to hold small firearms when on duty but not assault rifles. However assault rifles are permitted to be held in the weapons locker in the security room and only to be dispensed when there is a threat to the embassy. Only 20 assault rifles are to be stored and the number must not be exceeded.
Article V: If embassy defence forces use armed force for whatever reason then the Stevidian Metropolitan Police Constabulary will engage in a full enquiry and armed response units will be immediately deployed. It is recommended that embassy defence staff do not fire weapons unless absolutely necessary. All options are to be exhausted first. In the event of loss of life, all embassy defence staff will be expelled from Stevid while forensic teams from the Met Police deal with the death/s. Armed Police will provide the security. Once the enquiries are completed then the defence staff may return.
Article VI: Foreign cars are not permitted. Four bomb proof cars will be provided by the government. Military vehicles are prohibited as are aircraft unless there is a helipad present. The control tower in Stevid International Airport reserves the right to deny the aircraft entrance into the city airspace. Violation will result in a full enquiry and the endangerment of life.
Article VII: In the event of riot, the defence staffs are to inform the police and allow the riot police to control the crowd. Force is authorised if the police are not present if the embassy is rushed by the crowd and the lives of those inside are at risk.
Article VIII: The elected government of Stevid reserves the right to remove a nation’s embassy at any time with or without reason.
Article IX: All workers of the embassy have diplomatic immunity within the grounds of the embassy as do visitors and so the laws of the nation in ownership of the embassy are in force. Stevid police will only interfere in the result of death within the grounds of the embassy or in the case that a seriously dangerous criminal is in the embassy.
