The Ulysses Corporation is not exactly pro-religion. It's not militantly atheist, but religions with full-out smite-button-equipped water-to-wine Gods are seen as inherently funny. However, it's thought to be better that people worship a non-present 'God' entity whose words are censored and adapted as society progresses than that they go find one of the many present 'God'-like post-post-post-post-post-singularity entities running around who could actually personally guide their followers without being reinterpreted to be less genocidal and aggressive like most religions are after a few hundred years.

The above stance is often regarded as hypocritical by some, as the Ulysses Corporation is well known for having a wide variety of self-declared Philosopher-Cults. Most however would respond to this allegation of hypocrisy by handing the accuser a 16 page essay titled 'Hypocrisy vs Self-Depreciation: A Guide for the Humorless'.
