The Ministry of Defence has confirmed that a helicopter belonging to the Air Cavalry Division experienced what they are calling a "hard landing" last week. No serious injuries were reported. The aircrew and a squad of air-assault troopers were airlifted out on the following morning. TBRE Fact of the Week: Part Twenty Seven
Some have questioned why the TBRE, despite its relatively small population compared to the rest of the region, has managed to occupy such a large part of the Toy Islands in the center. Claims about military prowess aside (which admittedly have an element of truth), the TBRE is mostly natural-resources free (apart from the surrounding oceans, which are full of fish and not much else). Additionally, most of the terrain and climates are unsuitable for agriculture, save for parts of Grenatia (and even then, dense forests get in the way). All of these go some way in explaining why most cultures have left the modern-day TBRE unoccupied, and why the TBRE's major industries are in science and technology rather than the primary or manufacturing sector.
