This is an old question, but it's probably worth answering anyway. All the information needed to make the image is there. Why it doesn't show up is beyond me, but if you right-click, choose "Save Page As" and open the document with a raster image editor like Paint or GIMP, all the circles will show up.
Freechrist wrote:Whats the SVG code?

The code that contains the information to produce the diagram. But I assume you want to know...

Dei Terrare wrote:Wait, how you get the svg code?

There should be a line near the bottom of the page saying "Your SVG diagram - don't worry if it doesn't render correctly in your browser, just save and open!" Click that link and then when you're there, right-click and choose "Save Page As" (or whatever the equivalent is if you're not using Firefox). Then you can open the document in a raster editor like Paint or GIMP.

The Social Democracy Party is missing a character in its RGB code (I assume you wanted #CC0000), but the last semi-colon is what threw it off. I have a copy of the image I produced from the corrected code, though:

Hi Guys!

This is the tool I created, and I'm rather surprised to see it being used more here than on Wikipedia! The good news is, I got inspired at WIkimania to work on it some more, and a new version is out, and is now hosted on Wikimedia's toolserver. I've created an easier-to-use interface, but it doesn't yet work on Internet Explorer (Sorry!)

The bug that some of you had noticed where anything more than 60 spots didn't render in your browser has been fixed, by the way.

I've put the code up on github, and listed the bugs there, as well as on my user page on Wikipedia.

[*]The new interface: http://tools.wmflabs.org/parliamentdiag ... tform.html
[*]The bug list: https://github.com/slashme/parliamentdiagram/issues
[*]The discussion page: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User_talk ... liament.py

I'm eager to hear bug reports, feature requests and suggestions. Bug fixes of course are extra welcome!

Could you make a mockup, or link to an example of how you'd like this to look, for two different sizes of parliament? Depending on how difficult it is to code, how much time I have, and how many people want it, I might code it myself, or if someone else would like to add the functionality, that's also fine. Is this a type of diagram that ADSvote supports? If so, I might be able to re-use their code, because that project is released under the GPL.

Edit: please add this as a feature request on github or on the Wikipedia talk page!

I've just recently made it output Wikipedia legend templates which give the name, colour and support per party, and if you like, I can also make it give percentages in that template, or in a separate table. Maybe you can add this as a feature request at the talk page on Wikipedia or (even better) on github?

Here's a sample: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Canadian_P ... _House.svg

The blue middle box in between the two opposing sides is the Speaker of the House.

I am not entirely sure if it works with ADSvote.

Would this always have the same number of seats? If not, how should it change depending on number of seats in the parliament?

The seats of a parliament are determined depending on how they are in proportion to the country's population. That being said, I cannot be certain that these would have the same number of seats.

In the model I showed in the previous post, the seats can rise by two from the centre row given the positioning of the seats in the diagram. There is also a second way to show the diagram as well.

http://iiwiki.com/images/4/46/Conseiestadi_diagram.png

This one is the version I made through Inkscape. In this variant, the number of seats can just rise from the two centre rows of the diagram and expand outward. This could allow for easier placement of the seats without having to organize them by two.

OK, I first want to improve the Wikipedia integration of the tool, and make the interface a bit nicer, but would you be willing to add this as a feature request at the project's github page? That way, when I've got the more urgent updates done, I can be reminded to get to it.

I wish it was a bigger resolution. I get some small circles, and when i try to make it bigger, it gets worse.
