The Republic of Mackleberria's official, and most commonly spoken, language is American English. Spanish and French and a myriad of other languages are spoken by less than 30% of the citizens but American English is required of all citizens. In the case of politics where diplomats and other legal delegates are concerned, Latin is the language that all politicians must know to perform their duties to the people. All Bills passed by the Senate must be filed in 2 copies. One in Latin and the other English. Latin is used because it is the root language for most European languages such as: French, Italian, and Spanish. This makes the translation process more accessible to those who speak languages other than English.

However, pretty much every language is spoken here, so as long as the document has been translated, the original can also be filed, regardless of what language it was written in. Likewise, all legal procedings, whilst written up in English, are generally conducted in the first language of the majority of the participants (unless there are more than 2 people present who don't speak that language at all). But since everyone in the country speaks English anyway, most things are done in English.
