The Federal Republic was formed after a coup against the Himmler Imperial family. Before the Himmler reign however, the nation was controlled by a long line of monarchs, emperors and once a foreign occupation since it's first unification in the middle ages.

King Offa the Great completed the process of forging the Harrowlands into a unified kingdom in 798 AD, which prior that for at least 400 years was an amalgamation of warring clans, tribes and petty kingdoms.

By 3600 BC, just before the first Unified Kingdom of Lusitaniagrad, the Fatherland was divided into two major powers, known as The Northern Confederacy, comprised of the mountain clans, Highland Clans, and the Northern woodland clans. The second was the Portmor dominated Southern Union comprised of the Kingdom of Portmor, the interior lowland clans, and the southern woodland clans. The dividing line was drawn roughly in the modern day area of the Duchy of Glasburg.

The historical records of New Lusitaniagrad begin with the Fatherland as a unified state, which scholars from the Imperial Association of Lusitanian Anthropology believe occurred sometime around 3300 BC. According to Lusitanian legend Erik of the Hightimber Clan and King of Portmor, is thought to have unified Old Lusitaniagrad into the United Empire of New Lusitaniagrad, in a "great war of much bloodshed." Evidence of the Unification war are found all across the Lusitanian Fatherland in archaeological dig sites, mostly in the center of the nation. We can therefore conclude that this was where a majority of the fighting took place.

It was in this era that formerly independent Clandoms became subject to imperial authority. Many resisted at first, as was expected and so Emperor Erik made compromises. The five Great Clans of Lusitaniagrad where each given control over a wide expanses of land in which they where allowed ruled with absolute power, so long as they collected taxes from the lesser ruling families and passed them up the line to the Emperor. In order to keep the Clan Lords even more happy, Emperor Erik also established the Imperial Congress. One should note that this later became the basis for the current system used in the Lusitanian Federation today.

The Holy Republic of TurtleShroom was but a terra nullus wilderness when the first human Christian missionaries discovered it in the 1760s. Decades of exploration led to the astonishing discovery of sentient turtles and mushrooms all over the rainforests, swamps, and deserts. A theological debate amongst the missionary explorers on whether to attempt to win over the creatures was waged.
The end consensus of them was that the turtles and mushrooms did not have souls, but did have the ability to choose or reject Christ as a human did. It was essentially a compromise.

The missionaries witnessed to the turtles and mushrooms and overwhelmingly converted them all into Christianity. Specifically, the sort of Christianity that was a stronghold in the American Colonies before the Revolution. Their denomination is unclear, but it is generally believed to be a combination of Puritans, Angelicans, Anabaptists, Baptists, and non-denominational/freelance believers. Elements of all of these still linger.

Instead of purging them or burning them at the stake (witchcraft), they took their risks and witnessed the Christian faith to them. This succeeded immensely. The entire nation was Christianized.

Prior to the religious upheaval, the turtles' lifestyle could be compared to Social Darwinism and lazziez-faire capitalism: every reptile for themselves and survival of the fittest. The mushrooms, meanwhile, could be considered collectivist at the least, a hivemind at the most. Both the turtles and the mushrooms were on neutral terms with each other, neither friends nor eneimies.


The missionaries taught the indigneous turtles and mushrooms English, and said creatures opened up to them and became Christians by the thousands and tens of thousands. Christianity wasn't just the dominant religion, it was THE religion.

Eventually, the missionaries settled down in TurtleShroom with the turtles and mushrooms. Their previous successes at converting the turtles and mushrooms to their belief system enabled a seamless transition, because a part of their faith explicitly declared that humans had Dominion over all other creatures. The humans never thought to oppress or enslave the mushrooms and turtles; they didn't need it because they had left their original lands to start a new life and be self-made men.


In the very early 1790s, the religious elders of the humans that settled into TurtleShroom decided that there needed to be a solid government, like any human nation would have, and they began writing up a Constitution for the turtles and mushrooms. The turtles and mushrooms weren't fond of the exclusion- having previously been treated as equals -and contested this.

Arguments began to form and anxiety stopped the convention. Most of this so-called "war" was fought on the pulpits and alters of the churches of the nation. It seemed that there would either be a fragmented state or a civil war amongst these fairly ungoverned people.

Let's let a TurtleShroomer historian take it from here.

So, they drafted a Constitution. The humans wanted democracy and the turtles a rigid order. The mushrooms wanted a strong government, and all three wanted Christianity to guid them.
They fought for seven years, with what government they would institute. TurtleShroom had being a loose conglomerate of judges, sort of like the Jewish Sanhedrin system or that of the present day earth's Somalia. We call this period Adhocratic Anarchy. An adhocracy is the exact opposite of a bureaucracy, in that the elite in power have no orders or positions, and they work together across the political aisles to mush up some sort of order. It's like one step above anarchy, with a loose order on the verge of falling.

TurtleShroom may have been an anarchy forever if it wasn't for our nations most famous human: Jones Found the Glorious! What can I say about Jones to portray his epic win? He was a nomadic Biblical scholar from a distant land, with [blonde scene hair]- an amazing anachronism for the beginning of the 1800s -and he had this sweet beard that was HUGE, like Karl Marx. The beard was also blond. He was eight feet three inches high and in a period suit. Now, Jones was learned in Scripture and quickly crushed the judgemental glances given by our forefathers by his faith. He suggested taking ideas from the Bible. God sang praise of a powerful and just King, but Americaland, by this time, had swept the planets of all star systems with their democratic government.

A compromise was built on the power of veto. Much like God has the final say, so too the heads of state. A multi-branch system with very thin seperation of power was instated. Relying heavily on religion, this new government gave immense power to the heads of state- the Kings, or as we call them now, Chancellors -powers mostly untouched today.

The original Constitution also banned alcohol and gave free practice of religion, and established Christianity as the foundation of government and calling an invocation of the Lord in the Preamble.

Prohibition was immediantly agreed by all parties. Slowly, the democractic process of our secular courts and Congress, elected by the people, coupled with the executive branch, appointed, and throwing divorce and alcohol into their own courts appointed, a complex structure was made. This is how we work today. Skillets were suggested by Jones as declared currency to protect the mushrooms.

After a lot of bickering, the turtles and mushrooms, with the humans, agreed to cast lots. The winner would rule. Sentients even, humans odd. The number fell on a six, and so be it, turtles and mushrooms were declared soverign by cleromancy. So devout were the nations' forefathers that they refused to question the dice. For the next hundred twenty years, the humans didn't have a Chancellor like the turtles and mushrooms did.

In time long forgot, the ancestors crossed the ocean from the mythical lands in the west guided only by the night stars. Upon finding the main islands of Kokaua, Mahina, and Manako, the ancestors broke into three tribes on each island. All was good except for the occasional war. Westerners found the islands in the early 1800's and the three tribes united into one nation to avoid being swallowed up as colonies. Following the unification, Kokaua played the various powers against one another, built a plantation economy and used it's location to it's advantage as a trading center. Today the small but proud country is striving to modernize and take it's rightful place on the world stage.

The universe is remade after an individual sleeps each night. If enough individuals dream the same reality, then that reality will become the reigning reality. All it takes is perhaps a thousand dreamers to change everything.

The Eye was created, was taught and then it determined that it knew what was right and perfect and attempted to kill all life with its children and absorb them and consume them into perfection. The remainder of the race that created them went extinct putting The Eye in another dimension, as it was better to doom any life in that dimension then the life in this one. So now it has limited access to our dimension and tries to continue its campaign to bring perfection to all. The race of creatures that are The Eye's offspring (they are not really born though) are called the Vanloan.

In 1902, the Grand Duchy was created as a constituent part of the Russian Empire out of the his Imperial Majesty's colonial possessions in North America. After the 1917 Revolution Beringovia was the only part of the empire to successful resist takeover by the Bolseviks (in part due to the aid of the United States which feared the establishment of a communist foothold in North America.) As a result, the Grand Duchy became a refuge for Russian nobles, kuloks and other "enemies of the state" fleaing communist persecution in their homeland. Beringovia formally declared its independence in 1928 (though by that time it had already been a de facto independent state for about ten years.) However, the Soviet Union did not recognize Beringovia's independence until 1943.

In 1867, while the area of what is now Beringovia was still sparsely populated and tenuously held, the Russian empire nearly sold the colony to the United States. How history might have been different were it not for the tragic and untimely death of American Secretary of State William Seward?

When King Edward VIII was forced to abdicate the throne of the first Great Britain he and Wallis Simpson fled to a recently undiscovered island in the North Atlantic, and set up a government there. They invited loyalists from the first Great Britain, France, Russia, Asia and Germany and created their own government, which expanded and conquered the various natives of the island.

We declared independence as a city-state on 12 August 1923, and fought a brief war with the Empire for this independence. This prompted similar declarations of independence by various other constituents of the Empire which caused its central structure to crumble, and the political situation which emerged is relatively stable, though there are many competing claims for the former Empire's territory.
