Automobiles
Are automobiles legal in your nation? Yes, obviously
If so, how common is their usage? Extremely common
What laws or regulations do you have on their use, if any? A comprehensive exam must be passed in order to acquire a driver's license. They must be registered with the government, and annual inspections are performed to ensure that all vehicles are roadworthy. Vehicles that fail the inspections and are not restored to roadworthy condition within a specific timeframe are seized by the government and usually made available for sale via the Federal Automobile Exchange Program, so they can find new owners that will give them a proper home.
How does the the overall society view them? Positively; the Glorious Automotive Technate would not have it any other way. It is illegal to protest the automobile industry, and nations that outlaw, oppose or suppress the automobile are seen as subpar and lacking in culture and proper leadership.
Public Transportation
Does your nation have a public transportation system? Yes, the vestiges of one exists.
If so, how extensive is it, or how common is its use? It's spotty at best.
What laws or regulations do you have on their use, if any? It's a user-pays system.
How does your overall society view them? They're inherently awful; they don't go where they're needed, and they're full of criminals, vagrants, and urine.
AlternativeTransportation
How common is the use of alternative transportation (bikes, walking, jogging, boating, etc.) within your nation? Extremely common, obviously
What laws or regulations do you have on their use, if any? Boats must be registered, and it is illegal for a bicycle to travel on roads that are exclusively for cars. Bicycles are made to stick to their own seperate paths.
How does you overall society view them? For hobby and recreation, and little else.

Private automobiles have become an essential in most modern societes. Western civilizations can barely imagine life without them. However, other societies may place less ephasis on this mode of transportation, with some relying primarily on public transportation, and others using means such as bikes, walking, or whatever best suits the area. Recently some concern has arrisen about there usage due to environmental and safety concerns, though the necessity of them in some places has prevented much change. How are automobiles regarded within your nation?

AlternativeTransportation
How common is the use of alternative transportation (bikes, walking, jogging, boating, etc.) within your nation? Running and cylcing is very popular with those who have short commutes, a minority of those with jobs on the coast/river-front do take a boat to work. Ferries are a popular mean of transport with those who fear bridges.
What laws or regulations do you have on their use, if any? Safety, Efficiency, Noise, Cost
How does you overall society view them? Very good.

Thank you for this excellent survey. Much like our traffic-related one to come soon!
(OOC: Also applies to my main nation Astholm, too, so consider this as one.)
Automobiles
Are automobiles legal in your nation? Yes, very much so.
If so, how common is there usage? Very common, we have a car culture.
What laws or regulations do you have on their use, if any? Driver's licence (legal age 17), road tax, roadworthiness tests (MoT), Traffic Signs and General Regulations (TSRGD). Too detailed to go into on the TSRGD part, but it includes road signing and road regulations.
How does the the overall society view them? Automobiles make up part of the Britishmancestrian culture; they're a huge part of it. Do not slag off automobiles, or, for that matter motorcycles here, it's considered offensive; unlike constructive criticism. Electric cars are not that common, or popular, yet.
Public Transportation
Does your nation have a public transportation system? Yes
If so, how extensive is it, or how common is its use? Common
What laws or regulations do you have on their use, if any? Traffic Signs and General Regulations (TSRGD)
How does your overall society view them? Part of daily life
AlternativeTransportation
How common is the use of alternative transportation (bikes, walking, jogging, boating, etc.) within your nation? Bicycles, pedestrians etc.
What laws or regulations do you have on their use, if any? Traffic Signs and General Regulations (TSRGD) - with laws/regulations on buses, specific road signing, and
Pedestrian Zones.
How does you overall society view them? Again, part of daily life.

If you have further questions do not hesitate to ask.

Automobiles
Are automobiles legal in your nation?
They are.

If so, how common is there usage?
The simple fact that our nation barely has any importation of car makes walking, bycicles, and motorbikes the most common vehicles.

What laws or regulations do you have on their use, if any?
There is none, they are free to use them however they want due to the lack of usage of them.

How does the the overall society view them?
Cars are certainly something barely seen around here, most of them are destroyed because of the old anarchic state that reigned in our nation so they are seen as some kind of technological advancement of other countries.

Public Transportation
Does your nation have a public transportation system?
Nothing but a simple bus system.

If so, how extensive is it, or how common is its use?
It only connects the major population cores of the country, it is widely used to arrive to Wen Sagev, our capital and principal New Industry zone.

What laws or regulations do you have on their use, if any?
None, they are firmly controlled by the state.

How does your overall society view them?
Simply as a mean of transportation to their job or to the commercial cores of Wen Sagev.

AlternativeTransportation
How common is the use of alternative transportation (bikes, walking, jogging, boating, etc.) within your nation?
Very, very common, lack of cars, and the simplicity of the public transportation system made it so.

What laws or regulations do you have on their use, if any?
None

How does you overall society view them?
For the small population cores, it is the mean to arrive to the nearest Public Transportation area of the bigger population cores to then go to Wen Sagev if they have any business there.
Popular Song of our nation, considered a folk's anthem during the anarchic times:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3t3Ky5F0XCs

Small definition of our nation:
A Benevolent Technocratic Dictatorship ruled by dictator Alexander House and various nation-wide businesses, based on a 40s-60s typical American society and family, formed after a nuclear accident struck the nation of Evajom and dictator Trevor House united the area with his secretly kept weapons and securitrons and located in Las Vegas' area. Also yes, the names are based of Fallout: New Vegas and are simply reversed, with my little touch of back story.

Automobiles are common where public transport cannot reach, despite heavy investment. There has to be roads for really hilly terrain where building tube tunnels or rail links to hilly areas would be obviously impossible. Then there are motorways for high speed road traffic.

Automobiles are legal in Radictistan. It would be crazy, not to mention tyrannical, to prohibit the ownership or use of such useful devices. At present, there only about 180 personal vehicles in Radictistan for every 1000 residents. The low national income level precludes a higher automobile ownership rate. Radictistani automobiles tend to be built with economy in mind over all other considerations, with the exception of those vehicles bound for the luxury market. There is very little regulation of automobile usage. Drivers have to be licensed and are required to have a token amount of liability insurances, although those provisions only apply when one is driving on a public road. Most Radictistanis aspire to own a car at some point in their lives, but their isn't any kind of national "car culture." Motor vehicles are seen as tools, not symbols.

Most cities of note in Radictistan have an extensive system of buses and trams. Some larger cities have full grade-separated heavy rail systems. Most Radictistanis depend on public transit for their daily commute and much of their other travel. These systems are seen as a godsend by the majority of the population and there is little controversy over spending public money on them.

Sibirskyans love their automobiles. It is a symbol of freedom and a status symbol to some.

The latest automobile data shows the following;

There are 5,233,002,502 total passenger vehicles in Sibirsky.
2,056,937,813 SUVs and pickup trucks.

Of these 30.6% are more than 10 years old
17.8% are 7-10 years old
20.6% are 3-6 years old
30.9% are less than 2 years old

The median car is 4.1 years old

1985 was a record year for automobile sales as 72,066,142 cars were sold in Sibirsky.
Sales have been in decline every year since 1999 when 49,730,773 cars were sold. This is seen as a normal market fluctuation. In 2008, 40,492,008 cars were sold.

The median car sold this year had a MSRP of $45,238.20, however few people pay the sticker price in Sibirsky. The median discount in 2009 was $7,576.71. Meaning the average buyer of a new car paid only $37,661.49.

The average fuel economy has improved steadily over the years, even as cars have become more powerful. In 1960, the average fuel economy for a car sold in Sibirsky was 9.9 MPG. By 1970 it actually declined to 9.6 MPG. By 1980 it was 10.6 MPG. In 1990 it reached 13.2 MPG. In 2000 it reached 13.5 MPG and this year the average car sold consumes 14.1 MPG.
