OVERVIEW
“The Oppressed Peoples of men with long hair” isn’t a “nation” in the traditional sense, but the male slave population of the Gynecocracy of Ladies with Short Hair (LaSH). This factbook is meant only to give further description of the male slaves’ situation. For more information on the Ladies with Short Hair, their society, culture and government, you can find their factbook here.

Males make up between 85 and 90 percent of the LaSH’s population, but the female population (commonly referred to as “the Ladies”) keeps them absolutely powerless. The Ladies are able to achieve this through the dual means of brute force and mental conditioning. The slaves are raised from infancy simply to not know any better, and to live their lives in fear of their owners. The system works very well, and what few rebellious slaves exist are sometimes even killed by fellow slaves.

The reason why the male-to-female ratio is roughly 8-to-1 is because very few of the LaSH’s male slaves are native to the country. The LaSH “imports” many men for slavery, primarily by attaining boys still in early mental developmental stages from orphanages across the world. There have been instances where the LaSH has forcibly captured men from other nations, but it is frowned upon by the world and the LaSH prefers to avoid war... for the most part.

Terminology
“LaSH”/“the LaSH”: Commonly-used abbreviation for (the) “Ladies with Short Hair.”
“Ladies”:[/i] female inhabitants.
[b]“Male,” “Slave”: these two words are used interchangeably among the LaSH and have the exact same meaning. Sometimes also called “man-slave/s.”
The Mistress: the supreme empress of LaSH.
The Mistress’ liaison: the representative of the LaSH’s male slaves to The Mistress and Her government. He is also the personal property of The Mistress and therefore completely at Her mercy. He considers his position to be an unparalleled honor.
The System: the comprehensive code of rights, privileges, and duties pertaining to Ladies, male-slaves, and government branches.

Currency: The Ladies with Short Hair’s men with long hair don’t have a currency. They are “paid” in rations of food and water.

ON THE TREATMENT OF SLAVES

The Ladies with Short Hair’s long-haired male slaves are generally not mistreated. They are generally treated much like puppies... except "puppies" who are required to do nearly all of the society’s labor.

Slaves do not have the right to names. Instead, they have barcoded identification numbers on the inside of their wrists, and they are referred to by their occupational positions. If a slave loses his wrists, he is put to death because, with no hands, he cannot work and is therefore useless.

Men are owned by individual Ladies, but they are ultimately under the jurisdiction of the government. In other words, Ladies are allowed to require anything of their slaves after buying them from the government, but the government ultimately retains regulation of the system. This is primarily to prevent dissenting females – that is, females who are against the system - from giving their slaves excessive rights. If there is a dissenting female, the government has the legal ability to remove any slaves from her possession.

Every Lady is allowed to own as many males as she can afford, and while they do come cheap, most Ladies are content with owning between six and 10.

Slaves are bound by ankle bracelets and required obey their owner’s every command. Under normal circumstances, slaves are forbidden to leave their owner’s property, due to the fact that each Lady generally has a business venture located on her land. However, there are rare cases where slaves sometimes leave their owner’s property to work elsewhere.

Ladies rule over both the country and the home, males do what they are told. If males fail to comply, they are promptly punished according to the severity: beating, execution, castration, etc. Oftentimes, dissenting slaves’ punishment will be made public in order to make example of them.

Should slaves attempt to leave the property or remove their bracelet, both the Lady of the property and the government are immediately notified. The Lady is allowed to search for him and do to him as she pleases. (A historical and beautiful custom is to throw runaways into a pit of sewing pins, and then fill the pit with saltwater until either they expire or the Lady is satisfied by their torture.) But if she chooses not to search, then the government promptly makes them "disappear" as soon as they are found.

Slave education is limited to manual trades and basic agriculture. That is, they are educated in regards to the trades such as carpentry, electric equipment, plumbing, etc., as well as basic agricultural education such as farming, harvesting, etc.

Slaves are not allowed to read or write, as it encourages creativity and nonconformity, both of which would be dangerous to the system.

Sexual relationships between Ladies and male slaves are relatively rare but generally not looked down upon by LaSH society. The ratio of native-born males to imported males is very low, perhaps 1:50. This is primarily because the Women who use their slaves for sexual purposes will often use contraceptives. Those who do not use contraceptives and subsequently become pregnant will most often abort the child if it is male, and thus a slave, but keep it if it is female, and thus an heir. Artificial insemination is also common to ensure female offspring.

LEGAL POLICIES REGARDING SLAVES

According to the World Assembly:
The "men with long hair" are ruled with an iron fist justly and fairly by the corrupt, dictatorship wise, rational government, which oppresses employs anyone who isn't on the board of a Fortune 500 company. Large corporations tend to be above the law make exemplary citizens and use their financial clout to gain ever-increasing government benefits at the expense of the poor and unemployed lazy, stupid males who don’t deserve any sympathy.

Elections have been outlawed.
Males do not deserve and will not the right to vote. The Mistress and the Ladies with Short Hair are the only political authority among the men with long hair.
This is a good thing because The Mistress and the Ladies with Short Hair know what’s best for us. The idea of men with long hair making their own political decisions is ridiculous!
Military funding has been stripped back.
The military of the LaSH is strong enough to defend the melh from both external threats and threats to themselves. Therefore, the men with long hair do not now nor will they ever have need for a military.
This is a good thing because, of course, we have no need for a military or weapons of any kind. Men with long hair on the battlefield? Ha! Hilarious!
Vegetarianism is compulsory.
Banning meat eating for males leaves more meat for Ladies to consume. Slaves can receive sufficient nutrition from vegetarianism alone. Slave caught eating meat are themselves ground into meat and fed to zoo animals.
This is a good thing because to feed meat to males would rally be wasting what is a delicacy. Meat is truly a luxury that only Ladies deserve. And, of course, the punishment perfectly matches the crime!
Public nudity is compulsory.
Banning males from wearing clothes saves costs that Ladies would have to spend on clothing them. And besides, constant nudity is a constant reminder of vulnerability, especially when the Ladies with Short Hair are one of the top 5 percent of the world’s most armed populations.
This is a good thing because, since I’m always naked and my Mistress is always armed, I’m never confused as to exactly who’s in charge and why! And besides, clothing is a dignity that only Ladies deserve.
Ladies may “fire” slaves without giving any reason.
Slaves are banned from bargaining collectively to better their working conditions and lives. Ladies have the right to “fire” (that is, execute) their males at their discretion.
This is a good thing because any male slave who would be so ungrateful, disrespectful and disloyal to the Lady who owns and employs him definitely deserves to die!
Thieves are flogged in public for their crimes.
The Ladies with Short Hair have a special police force for keeping slaves in line, and public, corporal punishment is the agency’s standard practice.
This is a good thing because, frankly, sometimes non-corporal punishments don’t make good deterrents, and the Ladies need to use physical punishments to keep us in line.
Political activists are routinely executed.
Any male who challenges the authority of The Mistress over the male population, whether that challenger is male or female, will pay with his or her life. (Note: It was this decision that finally ended political freedoms for the melh.)
This is a good thing because it’s a lot easier for The Mistress to do Her job when the males aren’t complaining about things. And isn’t it a our job to make Her job as easy as possible?
Scientists regularly clone human beings for research purposes.
This, of course, is to increase the slave labor force. The Ladies are unconcerned with curing diseases or prolonging the male life span beyond 40.
This is a good thing because the more slaves there are, the more prosperous and powerful the Ladies will become. It’s a win-win!
Bicyclists are banned from major roads.
Because bicycles were once used in a protest that shut down city traffic, so to prevent that from happening again, it is illegal to ride bicycles on major roads.
This is a good thing because the Ladies with Short Hair really do need automobile traffic to have strong commerce and a robust economy, as well as freedom of travel. It’s wrong for males to get in the way of the Ladies’ progress like that.
It is illegal to make racist remarks in public.
Like the legislation banning bicycles from major roads, this law was passed in reaction to a planned Nazi rally. Of course, since Nazism is an ideology espousing a political system other than one completely under The Mistress’ control, it had to be stopped.
This is a good thing because, it doesn’t matter what the color of a male’s skin is, he’s still just a male, and therefore he deserves to be a slave.
Fictional books are banned.
It is unproductive for what few slaves’ duties require them to be able to read to be wasting their time reading fictional novels, only documents The Mistress and the Ladies with Short Hair approve of them reading.
This is a good thing because males should not be wasting their time reading... anything, really. I mean, reading encourages free thinking, and it really is important that we only think what the Ladies tell us to think.
There are no minimum wage laws.
The less money Ladies have to spend on maintaining their males, the more males they can enslave. The more males a Lady can enslave, the more productive she can be. The more productive Ladies, the more powerful the LaSH as a whole are.
This is a good thing because minimum wage laws would clearly give males rights they do not deserve and take a large degree of control over the economy away from the Ladies to whom it rightfully belongs.
Organ donation is compulsory.
Since slaves are the property of the Ladies who own them, so are the organs inside their bodies. Therefore, slaves have no right to their internal organs, and their owners may harvest them as They please. Extra organs are to be used in school biology classes.
This is a good thing because if the life of a Lady can be prolonged by a year, a couple months, or even a few days, isn’t that worth the lives of a few dozen lowly, miserable slaves who are bound to die anyway?

Slaves may not have any national emblems of their own (national flag, national animal, etc.).
Slaves may neither own, touch, nor look upon a mole rat.
Slaves are not allowed to communicate with the outside world without their owner’s authorization.
