Of the options listed, democracy with unicameral legislative I guess fits the most. At least on the surface.

Radically democratic confederation of autonomous cantons that are themselves radically democratic federations of semi-autonomous communes that are themselves radically democratic federations of semi-autonomous municipalities. With a constitution that outlines the legitimate and illegitimate use of public authority. Also, an independent court system. The economic system is market socialist, except for one of the southern cantons, which is collectivized by the will of its people into a parecon system.
Confederation of participatory-democratic autonomous municipalities. Market socialist economy, some cantons practicing participatory economics. Environmentally sustainable economy. Enormous civil liberties. Nuclear-armed and missile defense equipped, to protect our autonomy.

The Empire is currently an Absolute Senatorial Monarchy. The Emperor acts as the Executive Branch, while the Imperial Senate acts as the Legislative Branch. The Emperor can veto laws passed by the Senate at will, and can block any bill from entering the Chamber.

Autocracy with limited power on civilain person life, for we do not care what people do in their free time, and they are also citizens which means they have every right given to them from birth. However, if you go and become CEO of a corperation, then almost ALL of your money will go to the nation for use of Education, Welfare, Law & Order, some to the Administration of our nation, and some also to defense, although not too much for our Military is only used for protection. Much goes to scientists who work for the Government, trying to create new sources of clean, reliable, energy or new helpful technology. Recently, our Governemt was attacked by conservitive CEOs and our ecconomy has taken a hard patch, although, this will pass.

I created Fellrike as an absolute monarchy, but based on some of my decisons about various issues it's now a Communist nation, apparently. So the flag with the red wyvern on a purple field has got to go, in favor of something more Communistic, as soon as I get around to designing the new banner. Any suggestions, comrade vexillologists?

Monarchy

Postby North Korea and Japan » Tue Apr 12, 2011 5:15 pm

Single-Party Monarchy. Our monarch, has complete control over the lives, of all of his subjects, regardless of ties to anyone else. He is an autocratic monarch, who shares power with no one, he is chief of the armed forced, and the only general allowed in the entire empire, to make sure that no one else gains greater influence in the army. All aspects of society are run by his self-appointed House of Lords, with he as their head. It's not a Unicameral Body, but more of a big board of advisors and nothing else.

We're a consitutional monarchy. My dad is the Excellence. When he kicks it, I'll be Co-Excellence with my sister. My dad's job is to endorse legislation and appear at official functions. Best. Job. Ever.

The day-to-day running is left to a government that the people elect. Our current Head Minister is a 16-year-old eunuch who wears a funny hat.

Patoran is a representative democracy with a presidential system. It has six major political parties, but political competition is essentially dualistic, because the important question is which of the two political coalitions controls Parliament. The President is Ashranda Mellowen, of the center-right (for Patoran!) Socialist Liberal Party.

Also what rights do your citizens have?

Patoranians have a wide array of civil rights (like the right to a fair trial and to control their own bodies), political rights (like the right to vote and to run for office), and social rights (like the right to housing and health care).

And one more thing what type of legislature does your gov't have?

The Parliament of Patoran is bicameral. The Senate is elected by single transferable vote, and the National Assembly is elected by proportional representation.

It is very complicated, so to begin...

The country is divided into four general regions, Imperial lands, lands of one Royal family, lands of the other royal family, and national lands. In the Royal lands, the respective king appoints governors, who then appoint lower rulers, who appoint lower rulers and so on and so forth, in the Imperial lands, the Emperor does the same. However, in the national lands, the Witengemot (which will be explained later) chooses the individual regional governors.

The Witengemot is a 100 person legislative body that passes laws. 50 members of the Witengemot are chosen by each king when they are crowned and are members of the Witengemot for life, also all members are nobles (all politicians are nobles with the possible exception of city council members and mayors). When the Witengemot passes a law it goes before the emperor, who can veto the law (in which case it dies there), or pass the law, in which case it is made a law. Any citizen, or noble, including the kings and emperor are allowed to propose a law, although it must be approved by at least 30 members of the Witengemot to be voted on.
IC Nation Name: The Glorious Empire of Luthoria
Monarch: Emperor Siegfried XVI
