Military Branches

Army:
Easily the largest Armed Force in United Australis, the primary role of the Army is combat. But in peacetime, the Army can also be used for disaster relief and keeping Martial Law, which United Australis has been under for two years.

Air Force:
The third largest force, the Air Forces main role is protecting Australis from air-based attacks, while also becoming a potent offensive force. The Air Force has numerous ground-based troops, namely the SAS and Royal Paratroopers.

Navy:
The smallest force, the navy is largely green-water, with very few ships large enough to warrant crossing numerous oceans. The navy is where retired or disgraced officers are sent to serve out their terms. It has only three aircraft carriers.

National Reserve:
The second largest force, consisting of untrained troops who would not stand a chance in any combat. Its only advantage is the ease in which you can join, not needing any phisical tests to join.

Military Police:
The most elite force, with only promising or well-connected troops being permitted to join its ranks. They have the best weapons, and are two of the three former emerency services wrapped up in one. They have jurisdiction over any other soldier.
