Swords, specifically Falchions and the much Older Gladius, though improved designs of course, with more expensive models actually containing a thin film of super-heated plasma.

MT wise, refer to me as Imperial Japan, why? because I RP as a certain character that took the appearance of a Japanese man and I took over Japan and made a empire with it, got a problem? take it somewhere else.
And yes, we would be far worse than Nazi Germany if we controlled America so ha.

The Cutlass. It is still used by officers and soldiers because of the longer reach. It is also used in giving commands.

The Martin M130 China Clipper (Created in 1935) is still the Main Seaplane of the W.M.P.S. (Wagain Military Postal Service). It flies mail between the front lines and airbases back in Wagondia. The slow and dated aircraft does not even have a radar, and only has two 2 cm. flak guns for protection.

Aside from ceremonial weapons (not considered to be on active service), the oldest weapon we possess is the Modèle 50 155mm howitzer:

How exactly do you get the poison out without becoming paralyzed yourself? and how the heck do you catch those things in the first place?

We catch those things in three-inch thick glass containers. Then we euthanize it and extract the venom in a long, careful, and very tedious process.

All our weapons are reasonably up-to-date, but we still use traditional cavalry in the mountainous regions of the country.

Capitalism is always the answer. Whenever there's a problem in capitalism, you just need some more capitalism. If the solution isn't capitalism, then it's not really a problem. If your capitalism gets damaged, you just need to throw some capitalism on it and get on with your life.

Medieval swords are typically carried by soldier and officer alike, wielded on the battlefield and off it.

Also, Mark 97 bolt-action rifles are used in parades.

Prussia-Denmark still has Karabiner 98Ks in service for the Presidential and Royal Honour Guards for formal functions.

In basic training recruits also learn to shoot the weapon.

Baby cannons... they're highly lethal but tend to cause our troops to cheer with joy at the impending doom of another infant, which often results in casualties due to their distractedness.
