A Few Local Laws

To not result in creating shame & humiliation on the Ambassador or/and his staff, the Foreign Office wishes that the members please read these small rules before applying for an embassy.

I. No major demonstration of personal religion shall be shown in the streets of any town or village in Globexanter. This bans burkhas, carrying bibles of any type in public...
II. No firearm shall be carried in public except in a locked box or container for transportation purposes, this does not apply for security guards (after registration).
III. Knives are utterly and completely banned in public, large penalties apply to those found carrying any type except non-lethal.
IV. All pets shall be contained for a month in case of Rabies or other viruses they may hold after coming from their Nation.
V. Groupe 66 Officers are permitted at any time to search the Embassies.
VI. All members shall pass through a security check before entering any of the three streets, the same applies for each embassy building.
VII. Ambassadors & staff can either sleep locally or at the Embassy itself (recommended).
VIII. All foods, weapons or other materials the Customs may find necessary to check must be declared before entering the country.

Greetings,

The Front Range Republic has interest in establishing an embassy with your nation, due to economic and some cultural similarities. However, we have very serious concerns about several of the local laws, which we would hardly consider "small rules". While laws IV though VIII are acceptable, laws I, II, and III would, if enacted in the Front Range Republic, be blatantly unconstitutional and frankly grounds for armed revolution.

Accordingly, the Front Range would like to request the following understandings with the government of Globexanter, as a pre-requisite for establishing an embassy. First, that law I be waived for all members of the Front Range diplomatic mission. Second, that the Ambassador and his entire staff be designated "security guards" for the purposes of law II. I assure you, they can pass any firearms safety or marksmanship tests you require. Finally, we request that law III be waived for all members of the Front Range diplomatic mission as long as the knives are not displayed in public without adequate reason. None of these provisions should be a serious disruption, as the total staff of the embassy will be restricted to only six individuals.

Should this not be acceptable, we will be regretfully unable to establish an embassy in Carcassonne. However, in any event, we invite the Government of Globexanter to establish an embassy in San Angelo.
