1) I say so, and Doublewhoppernation will probably agree. It's fairly mainstream in a sense that most people with a passing interest in aviation will have heard of Hawker Siddeley Harrier and its successors, and has been on the Internet since before most posters here have been born. Nothing is really obscure if you don't have to go through a box of microfiche to find it in some dark library basement.
