Geography
The Islands of which Vanum Norendum dominates are rather large with diverse ranges of climates from frozen tundra near the northern parts to a harsh desert on the southern tip of the main island. Two mountain ranges scrawl across the country, creating valleysd. Several major rivers cut across the landscape. There are plenty of flat planes and prairies that populate the countryside. Around the main island are several smaller islands, the ones in the northern regions are largely uninhabited. Much of this territory was reclaimed by the new government.

Economy
The economy of the nation is largely based on the arms manufacturing industry. War between other countries is extremely profitable for Vanum Norendum. It relies heavily on the export of military and civilian weaponry including, but not limited to tanks, aircraft, rockets, and small arms. Metal works and mining contribute heavily to the economy as well, though not as much as the arms industry does. Agricultural products take a back seat as the country uses all that it produces. The country's national currency is the pebble.

History
The nation of Vanum Norendum was spawned first as a relatively small peaceful country with a simple agenda of keeping it's citizens safe. However, within the region of Pandemica, the small nation began to grow both in power and territory as it's infrastructure and military developed. The course of the peaceful nation would change radically when a military coup d'etat forcibly overthrew the peace centered government. With the new military dictatorship installed, sweeping reforms were carried out throughout the young nation. The country was rapidly industrialized. At around the same time a war broke out between Vanum Norendum and a neighboring nation within the region. This war only fueled the military industrial complex. The war ended as unspectacular as it had started. After wars end, the government and administration continued to grow rapidly, and despite many elections were consistently installed in power. Several countries of the region however ceased to exist for various reasons unknown to Vanum Norendum officials. At any rate, the country had room to expand further, and annexed the new vacant territories without much incident. It was at this time that the nation established itself as a regional superpower. The superpower had ceased to exist after war and political turmoil, but would once again reform to become a constitutional republic.

People and Population
Vanum Norendum consists of a massive population, nearly all of which have some military training. The majority of the population are native born Vanum Norendumites, and nearly all of them are of the homosapien species. There are small groups of other sentient species however, the government does not consider them 'citizens' therefore, they do not enjoy the same lack of freedom that citizens do nor are they counted in the census, and they are prohibited from joining the armed forces. Despite the lack of freedom, the government goes to great lengths to ensure the security and safety of Vanum Norendum citizens and nationals within the country including the declaration of war.

International Reputation:
The Rogue Nuclear Power of Vanum Norendum maintained and still maintains an abnormally large defense force for any nation. The country has also bumped heads with several other nations as well due to it's militaristic ambitions which has lead to its ultimate demise. The country has since been re-established.

Militia:
The nation has a large militia. This citizen army is composed of mostly civilians. With a yearly training regimen, and somewhat modest equipment compared to the standing army, this force is meant for home defense and guerrilla warfare. Since conscription is compulsory, most people opt to join the militia instead of the army. If need be, the militia can be called for reservist duty with the standing army. The militia uses the AKM assault rifle, while its service pistol is the M1911. The Mosin Nagant serves as its sniper rifle. The militia maintains a large tank fleet composted of T-55 tanks.

Army:
The nation has a large standing technologically advanced army after a period of technological advancement, though the number of troops pales in comparison to the militia. The army maintains and oversees all military operations from land, to sea, to air. The army is afforded a significantly higher budget than the militia, and thus is able to afford weapons of a higher technological standard. The assault rifle, service pistol, and sniper rifle is the same as the militia, however, the army also employs the FN FAL as a battle rifle. Special operations employ weapons according to the scenario involved. The machine gun in use is the M60 with the Browning M2 as the anti-matter machine gun to compliment it. The army uses mostly F-18's as a multirole fighter, while it uses B-52's as a heavy bomber. The A-10 is also used for anti-ground operations. With no stealth technology employed, the army is working on improving and maintaining current RADAR technology. The army employs several Nimitz class carriers. It still uses battleships, along with destroyers and submarines. The troop helicopter is the Huey, while the attack helicopter is the KA-50. The army uses Humvee's as its ground transport vehicle. It employs a large fleet of Leopard-2 tanks along with BMP IFVs. It also uses the 9K22 Tunguska in mobile anti-air applications.

Weapons of Mass Destruction:
The army maintains a sizeable nuclear deterrent, which includes ICBM's, sub-launched nuclear missiles, and bomber dropped nuclear bombs. Tactical nukes are also in the arsenal, along with nuclear land-mines, and nuclear man-portable rockets.
Complimenting the nuclear arsenal is a stockpile of the deadly nerve agent, VX.
