I'm afraid it is incredibly vague and provides only for election of an assembly — beyond that, it cedes no powers to that assembly and effectively keeps Elizia under the jurisdiction of the United Nations Trusteeship Council. It provides for no executive and no courts. The very intention of the SCR 2267 is such that the body for which it organizes election will found an effective provisional government deriving its powers from the people of Elizia.

§1 – Definitions:
Pork - the flesh of a pig used as food, especially when uncured.
Haram - forbidden or proscribed by Islamic law.

§2 – Forbidden Sale:
For the sake of preventing widespread spread of disease and or for religious reason, pork will be banned for sale in the nation of Elizia.
  1. This act does not include pork brought in legally for private consumption in ones home.
  2. Pork being sold can amount to a fine of 5000 USD
§3 – Pork Products:
  1. Sale of jello made with crushed pig bones is herby prohibited.
  2. Sale of marshmallows made with crushed pig bones is herby prohibited.

I STRONGLY oppose this bill. The majority of the people in our nation are NOT Muslim, it is very improper to force non-Muslims to refrain from pork. It should be a personal choice.

You're wrong. Our country is majority non-Muslim. You didn't read the bill. It only prevents the sale, not the consumption.

How are you supposed to get something if you can't sell it.

I think we'll all have less to complain about when defiant brats get what they deserve too.

So if you were put on trial for your crimes against the Elizian people acting on the order of the regime, are you saying you deserve a traitor's death? *sips tea*

If it so happens that an even-handed court were to fairly condemn me to such a fate, a traitor's death is the only fair outcome.
But until charges are pressed and a court decides the ultimate verdict, it can be said that I stand guiltless in my actions.

Import it or farm it. Selling is exchanging something for money bud. You could TRADE it and or FARM it.

“Senator, this bill is, in its current state at least, unacceptable; we have sworn upon the sacred altar of the fatherland to protect this country’s groups from each other, and instead encourage brotherhood and national coöperation. To impose this ban on all Elizians would therefore be an ‘over-extension’ of our power. I do, however, propose an alternative on which I am not all too keen: a ban on selling pork and its products to Muslim Elizians. To enforce this it would be necessary to list religion in national identity cards, or alternatively, issue special cards to Muslim citizens. As I have said, this is not an ideal solution, but it is by all means preferable to what you suggest. The best method would nevertheless be self-moderation; people, regardless of their faith, ought to be able to buy whichever products they are compelled to purchase.”

People lived without electricity for thousands of years, so it is obvious people have no inherent right to it. Yes, Education, Employment, Housing, Electricity and many other so called 'rights' are important, but by forcing them into a constitutional bill of rights, you attack the free market, you attack personal freedoms and indeed you attack democracy itself.

Laddies and gentlemen, we heard it plain and clear from the Liberal Democrats, the so-called "party of common sense":

'No person needs education to survive'

Employment: We are talking about full employment. It is about creating an environment conducive to full employment.
Everything else: Clearly that refers to the general sense of a minimum standard of living. The government should provide these things at a minimum.

I guess the only argument the LD can bring to the table is 'muh freedoms' and 'muh free markets'. Typical libertarian claptrap.

Of course, I said that Education is important, and Yes, a government should provide education, as it is incredibly vital in the modern economy to ensure people have the skills they need. Perhaps my previous words were a bit brash. But to put it in this bill would stifle it rather than allow people to do better, but I would not be against its inclusion if the majority of senators support it. Education is important, but it is not a matter for this bill of rights; indeed, we could, amnd should, sign up to the UN convention, in which it is a right. Also, although full employment is obviously the ideal situation, it is not, in any sense, possible, and forcing businesses to employ people by putting employment as a right would be detrimental to the economy. That is common sense. I know you and the rest of Elizia First are itching to build a utopian wonderland where nobody has a single worry, but you can't create that by attacking businesses. Yes, these are important issues, but such ham-fisted ways of dealing with it is not the solution.
