Kasat took a moment to stare at the wall and blink. "I, uh... you know that we're at war, right? Even if it was for the umbrella, it was still important. I mean, he really should've just captured the guy, but he acted like any one of us in the fort would. Doesn't justify killing a man over an umbrella."

"What?!" Ava looked up at her. "You're right, it's not justified! Why would you?!-" Ava stopped. She felt her face grow warm, and could already tell that she was glowing like a sun. She exhaled.

"It's just that....well, I didn't think he'd ever murder another person". Ava gave a bitter laugh. "Crude wake up call..."

Don't agree to it immediately. Make him question who he really is. Punish him a bit." She laughs. "I used to torment this ex of mine by pretending to date this guy that he really hated. It was fantastic!"

Marius walks into the bar with the assistance of a cane, with an eye patch covering his left eye. "Ugh... damned Germans and their bloody raids. Why do they have to do it at night, when people are trying to sleep? It's quite rude of them," he says aloud, to no one in particular.

He transferred here just yesterday." Aquilus, one of the other newcoming Legionnaires, enters the bar, giving Marius a quick salute before saying, "It's a damned shame about that boy, Centurion. Same with everyone that's still in critical condition in the hospital." Marius just nods and invites him over to drink with him. He gladly accepts, and they share a quick toast in the dead boy's honor.
