I highly recommend that everyone in the DL open a twitter account. I plan on becoming more active on my account in the future and it could provide an interesting ground for debate and banter between colleagues, friends and rivals in parliament. I've listed a few DL accounts bellow.

I motion to adopt the following resolution for the Party:

The Democratic Left, being a party that values diversity and tolerance, will not field any candidate in a constituency who has any of the three following opinions:
Opposed to same-sex marriage, adoption by LGBT couples and individuals, or the right to change one's legal gender.
Opposed to pro-choice policies, meaning access to abortion on demand, at least up to the point of fetal viability.
Disbelief in anthropogenic climate change (man-made climate change).

Homophobes, transphobes, anti-choice individuals, and individuals who deny climate science will not be welcome to stand for Parliament as a Democratic Left member, nor will any member of the Democratic Left parliamentary caucus be allowed to publicly express an opinion mentioned above. Any member of Caucus who violates this rule may be censured by the Party.

I second the motion and applaud Atlanticatia for bringing it up. The DL has no room for hatred and that should be reflected in the field of PPC's selected.

I suggest that one's right to change their sex be mentioned along side changing gender. Also, can you explain to me what views would be considered acceptable and not acceptable for abortion? By on demand, what do you mean? Would that stop the doctor from asking her why she wants an abortion? (To prevent sex-selective abortions)

Basically, it means that unrestricted abortion, at the woman's request and choice, is available up until at least the point of viability.
