Anyway; what do party members think about working with the Labour Federation of Calverde?

Is that an official union in the country? I'm quite favourable towards a strong association with the labour movement in this country but it should be clearly defined as a cooperative relationship and not a controlling one on either side.

It's the association of all the trade unions, with various unions within it. I think we should enter unions we back into it in order to have connections in the wider Labour movement.

You can TG if you want to see the much longer document that lays out long term tax and welfare policies. The stuff mentioned in the following document is just a portion of total taxes and spending I'd like to see.

You can see it here: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1np3 ... WQYmac/pub

It's likely that by the end of the first term, if all of the policies were enacted, we'd spend about 22% of GDP.

so, any thoughts? Changes? Suggestions?

Looks excellent; would you support Credit Unions in some form being implemented later in the first term?

Can you explain further? Credit unions are just financial cooperatives organized by members, the state usually will not create them. For example, teachers unions will often have a teachers' credit unions for members to use. I would support creating a state-owned bank though, as a public option.

I've comprised a list of all the potential cabinet positions from the LDP thread and I think the Democratic Left can challenge for the following positions if we get the member base together.

Pres. - Eugenia Malgrave
DPM -
Min. of Agriculture and Rural Affairs -
Min. of Finance - Sebastián Luc Morales
Min. of Interior - Antonio Jordan Ruiz Simon Alvarez-Bolivar
Min. of Environment & Energy - Zunkwentania
Min. of Social Services and Welfare - Valloria
Min. of Housing -
Ministry of Transport & Infrastructure -
Minister of Industry - Mollary

If Mollary , Bandwagon and other party members wish to announce their intent to run for other positions in the cabinet then I can edit them onto the list. Of course I am open to suggests from other members on what cabinet positions they wish to see added or removed from the list.

I guess I'm suggesting we provide start up funding to credit unions, which can be run through local government with people from the community taking an active role in its decision making.

I'd go for Minister of Industry maybe?

Also, unless anyone else wants to, I'm going to remind people we have a presidential election.

You could send out a round of telegrams again? We need to energise the membership base and fill out some of these cabinet positions if we're going to have a chance of winning this election.

I just posted a short summary of economic policy goals in the coalition thread to hopefully get Coalition platform talks going.

Yeah, I suppose I will. I kind of need to get Bandwagon and Unicario to post their policies too if they don't tomorrow. If they don't, I guess we could just start an espernet thing with active members and add some stuff in to make a policy draft.

Also, when did we say we were thinking about getting a new thread?

We're currently voting on the Foreign Affairs Act. As the bill was written by Comrade Bolivar I think we should support it as a party and ensure it passes into law.

I'm going to be out for a large portion of the day dealing with RL political manners in London but I am quite confident that if we get out the vote we can get into government.

Will this party be TG'ing its members to vote for Malgrave in the election? If you do not have anything set up the LDP could get a TG campaign together if necessary.

Things are close, but from the looks of it if the WA follow the Confidence/supply agreement in round 2 then we should win this thing. And I bloody hope we do, because coalition Azul offer a pretty scary alternative.

Okay, done. Due to me being stupid, 2 sets of TGs were manually sent, and one was sent using a template.

I don't think you've read Atlanticatia's economic policy platform. Even I struggled to find issues with it.
