I do not like Great Nepal's idea and Kravica's idea at all. Maybe people should just post instead of whining about every time activity slightly drops. The Senate is not dead, some days ago we had a coup and it was super active. So now a few days later (when it's holiday) Britanno declares the Senate dead.. yeaaa, I don't agree at all.

And for those who say nothing is happening, today we have this event: viewtopic.php?p=21037376#p21037376

Super active?

It was only active because about six people all arranged to be on at the same time and blew some shit up.

I wouldn't even consider it super active to be honest. About ten to fifteen people were involved in total. That's it.

Activity hasn't slightly dropped, it's been declining since the beginning. Summer holidays in the US have been going on for a while, and almost all UK schools have finished for summer. We're still seeing a decrease in activity.

The senate is being kept alive by a few people with their heads buried in the sand because they can't accept that the reboot has failed. All these FT suggestions could work, but they're not the senate. They're completely different RPs and have very little to do with the original framework of the senate. If you go on with those ideas, go ahead, but don't use the senate's name.

The senate is like one of those TV shows that were once amazing but have gone shit now and the producers won't stop because they can't accept that the once great TV show is dead.

Waterloo Road would be an example, for any Brits who have watched it.

Feel free to brainstorm here.

Britanno declared the Senate dead, so....

He tends to do that when we get in slumps. Give it a week and if we haven't picked back up, then what he's posting right now would be warranted. At this point, however, it's not.

I was exaggerating, much as you are. To be accurate in my statement: "Britanno does not shy away from being straightforward with his thoughts about the Senate." Fair enough?

That's fair enough.

I kind of thought you were accusing me of constantly saying the senate has failed and that we should end it whenever activity went down a bit.

No, not at all. I don't blame you for the misinterpretation, though, as I suppose it could be read that way.

I'd to state my opinions on inactivity. First of all, I'd like to state that I'd to keep Baltonia, but I'd think it needs huge changes. I believe that the only Realism should be: no killing Senators, burning/destroyed HQs, etc., without permission from either party/organization leaders, or The player in control of their Senator. The NSG Senate's vision was "What if NSG ran a country?" Not "What if NSG kind of ran a country, but it would be confined to strict realism and players would have to change their political views." We must not abandon the NSG Senate Vision.

Dear friends and colleagues,

It is with great sadness that I must inform of my resignation from the Seima and Centra Partija. Personal issues have meant that I am no longer able to fulfil my role as an MP and as a Minister satisfactorily. I am sorry if I have failed you.

I will have fond memories

Geilinor has resigned an an admin. I am looking for nominations for his replacement. Please send them to my puppet, Siroy.

It seems to me that you don't quite grasp the point of trying to run a realistic nation, and that's alright. For many people, being forced to RP in a different way than would be easiest for them is a challenging and rewarding task that makes the Senate more fun. For others, they don't want to have that challenge associated with RPs that they're involved in. Both viewpoints are perfectly acceptable, and it's just a matter of figuring out how to balance the two.

We tried realism with Baltonia, but it didn't solve the problems we had with Aurentina.

But Aurentina was essentially chaotic with unrealism flying all over the area.

The coup wasn't unrealistic? The Baltics are stable in 2014 and an attempted coup there would be extremely surprising.

Yes, but didn't we decide that Baltonia had only recently become a democracy after years of dictatorship? Changes like that never go down entirely smoothly.

Unrealistic moments were tried, and we decided that something new would offer a different opportunity. Realism didn't do shit, and if the RP being realistic doesn't work, as well as the RP being unrealistic not working, then maybe it's time to accept that the RP isn't working anymore.

Well I have said since the original thread that the Re-boot has been botched as it's really no different to Aurentina but instead of making it better and more expansive in scope it was actually restricted by "realism" Which is at the best of times an abstract subjective concept that depends on the base one sets for oneself.

How would you suggest making it better and more expansive in scope? I'm not an idiot, I recognize that Baltonia just ain't working like it used to, and I'm open to discussing significant changes.
