Absolutely, we're still alive.

Also: The whip on the ESA is valid, and in effect. Chief Whip, please send out the TGs.

Blacklist updated, and my apologies to Haelunor for overreacting, but I stress to him that he could have entirely opposed Boris' election to the Central Committee by running against him in the Party Elections.

Hello there Red-Greens,

I came here in an attempt to raise support for a bill currently at vote that is crucial for a fair and just education system for our young. Under current law, the Ministry of Education can have educators teach whatever they like, opening our young to the possible influence of propaganda education or just plain bad teaching. It is only through establishing a national curriculum, authored and passed by the senate, can we prevent this from happening. If we leave this to the Ministry of Education alone, separate governments could teach what they like and our students will face a huge lack of consistency within their education.

Some of the opposition to this bill is based off a mass lack of knowledge regarding our education system. Some senators assume everything in this bill is taught to all our students, but if they bothered to spend time looking up the details of our education system, they would realise that they are wrong. Once students reach Year 10 (lower HSE in Aurentina, first year of GCSE in UK) they will only have to study seven subjects (although most will probably study around 10), and once they reach Year 12 (lower AE in Aurentina, first year of Sixth Form in UK) they will only have to study 4, with the possibility of dropping one in Year 13. I hope that helps explain why some of the opposition to the bill is based off false information. Another area of opposition towards the bill is that it infringes on teachers' freedoms, an idea that has mainly arisen from the libertarian camp. This is, quite frankly, laughable. I come from this as an OOC teacher, and it is a ridiculous idea that something this small could possibly restrict teachers dramatically. All this bill does is say what has to be taught. It doesn't mandate how it is taught, it merely says what is taught in each subject. From what I can tell, the libertarians would rather have an education system where people across a small country (with just 40 million people), are taught competently different things. They will all be tested on the same thing, yet not taught the same thing. Is that fair? No, and the viewpoint that the Libertarian Party has approached this from would be funny if they didn't actually stand a chance at blocking this bill.

Thank you for listening, and urge you to vote aye to the National Curriculum Act!

So I assume we should be preparing our contingency plans for the reboot?

Indeed. I've been thinking of, if we go to the Baltic state, having this become one of those Socialist Democrat Parties. :P

Social Democratic Party for Defence of the Motherland (SDPDM)

Or something to that end, even "Socialist Party". :P

I'd say something like "Social Democratic Party", if the NDP are going to become "Liberal Democrats"
