Without a doubt, the best result must be IASM's:

Radicalism 99.5
Socialism 100
Tenderness 50
These scores indicate that you are a progressive; this is the political profile one might associate with a university professor. It appears that you are skeptical towards religion, and have a pragmatic attitude towards humanity in general.
Your attitudes towards economics appear communist, and combined with your social attitudes this creates the picture of someone who would generally be described as left-wing.
To round out the picture you appear to be, political preference aside, an egalitarian with several strong opinions.
This concludes our analysis; we hope you found your results accurate, useful, and interesting.

More centrist than thought, apparently. Also rather tender, take that as you may.Mollary wrote:But we seem to have no word for beer.
This needs to be rectified. Immediately.

I thought the opposition wanted flat taxes, but I'm not complaining. It's good to see you being progressive. The only problem I have which isn't political, as obviously I support higher taxes on the rich, is that it's too complicated. I, and probably most people on NS, can understand the maths behind it, but if a pensioner - who didn't have access to a computer and therefore no access to your calculator, as well as having their mathematical ability and memory worse than perhaps it used to be - tried to file taxes they might find it hard.

Actually we had no members of the opposition propose a flat tax. Two proposals other than mine were filed, one with a top bracket at 30% and one with a top bracket at 34%. Each yielded about 96 billion in projected revenue.
Honestly, for a pensioner sans computer, I think figuring out a bracketed tax system would be equally hard. There's a lot of steps involved (although I grant that a lot of the math is usually done for you on the form), and with my system there are only a few. Plus, most old people get people to do their taxes for them. Actually, in the USA there is a government-funded online service that will figure out your taxes for you (you don't have to use it, of course). I'd support creating that here also.

Ok, fair enough in regards to tax. I thought Belmaria, kinda influential considering he's your leader, supported flat taxes.
The tax bracket system is simple and easy to use. If you lack the mental capacity to calculate it, the form helps you and a basic calculator will sort everything out. Your system requires either fairly advanced maths or a scientific calculator. I stick by with my idea that a pensioner without a computer and no family may have large amounts of trouble sorting this out. Though I may sound picky in my example, these people do exist and need to be catered for - an online system isn't much help if you don't have a computer. The same goes for families or individuals who can't afford a computer and lack in mathematical ability.
