- What got you interested in Marxism?- I saw the intense poverty and desperation that was prevalent in my community. I saw hard-working single mothers barely able to feed themselves; never mind their children. I saw that even if a man worked his fingers to the bone he was still thought of as a lazy, good-for-nothing scab. I saw men building fortunes and nations with riches they never toiled to earn. I saw this, and I knew we needed an alternative.
- Any comments on the Progress Coalition?- I think it's very important that Aurentina have a united left. This coalition is far from perfect, but it is a vital institution to the betterment of the lives of our citizens, and it serves as a bulwark against those who would deregulate, privatize, promote inequality, and strip the people of their democratic rights.
