Oh dear, there might be a clash between two Ministers (If Britanno wins of course).

If there is real scientific research showing veiwership of Dr. Who and Star trek reduces suicides, wouldn't minister of culture consider subsidising those shows to reduce suicide rate in the nation?

I am sure the researchers would disagree. (ooc: and that would have nothing to do with the fact that they are all Dr. Who and Star trek fans)

The world has been getting warmer, and the number of pirates have been decreasing. Therefore Pirates contribute to global cooling.

With this data, one can only conclude that the most logical enviromental policy we can undertake is to legalize piracy. Thoughts?

According to that logic, Somalia should have been in the middle of an ice age by now.

All that remains is to show that biological systems replicate in such a way as to satisfy the minimal criteria required for evolution to apply to them, something which has already been adequately shown time and again. At this point, we've pretty much proven that not only can evolution happen, it pretty much must happen since it's basically impossible to prevent it from happening.

It all makes sense now, if we encourage privateering, global warming stops.

Then it's not piracy, because the pirates aren't criminals any more.

Here's extract from a preliminary research carried out by large group of scientists on the matter, it is yet to be published however...
"As demonstrated the results in table 13.01, it has been shown that in 100% of normal cases from the samples, viewing Dr. Who and Star Trek reduces production of chemicals that are known to cause depression, anxiety and ultimately result in suicide."

Hmmm, well until they do, you won't find this (hopefully) future Minister of Culture allowing this to happen.

Their identity is supposed to be secret, how do you know of this information whose accuracy I can not comment on, senator?

You wouldn't have contact with secret group of scientists. Only original minister of science and potential minister of science candidates have access to them, so no.
