That could be me :twisted: . Any who, I don't mind the ATN bring like the BBC, I think that it is an excellent idea. I do mind though when Senators ask the government to subsidise things like Game Of Thrones and Doctor Who. I like the programmes but I don't think that it is in our best interests to subsidise them.

But it is Dr. Who and Star trek!

But that means producers of Dr. Who and Star trek dont make money and that means they cant continue to make Dr. Who and Star trek. And that means we will all have to commit suicide.

The programmes have survived without us subsidising them, Doctor Who has been on for 50 years (unless you count the gap in the nineties and early 2000's). The governments money should not be used to fund television programmes that aren't even made in Aurentina.

No, you're subsidising the TV channel's purchasing the right to display them. ;-;

Star trek is out of production and it doesnt matter at all to the people at Dr Who if one island nation doesnt watch. They have the rest of the world paying full freight.

Dr. Who would be fine as it's produced by the BBC. The others such as Game of Thrones are the bigger worry.

This nation should not be taken to be representative of my real-life views, nor should any of the nonsense I posted on here as a teenager.

It will help people be entertained for free though senator. And right to watch Dr. Who and Star trek must be basic human right!

But what if they stop watching and production stops? What you are advocating senator, will cause mass sucide.

Unlikely, and if it did our people would have gotten bored too. Besides, then once their gone we can produce it ourselves

The people can be entertained for free and if our nation is to be a capitalist one then we shouldn't care if the people have to buy a sky box.

Yes, it is bad.

They dont have to buy sky box, they can just watch Dr. Who and Star Trek.

Then switch sides, so I can agree with you instead.

ATN has suspended advertising and we need to ensure steady supply of Dr. Who and Star Trek.

I know this isn't the case but who cases, pirating Dr. Who and Star Trek should be theft.

Since when has the list of ing the government should subsidise had Dr. Who written in it? Never is the answer, the ATN will always be rich enough and anyway, if we nationalise it, the people will pay for a licensing fee.

And no, I will not switch sides.
