I have arranged to take the Elite Guard of the RG on a parade through USLP territory tomorrow. 500 of our men will lead the march followed by 1500 NIFP men.

We will have our 500 men march through the constituency until they arrive at the USLP HQ where they will stop and play God Save the Tsar. I will give a speech and so will Senator Hath, leader of the NIFP.

I invite Senator Strykla and Senator Rohamistan to join us with their men on this march, although this is just a request and isn't mandatory, as I would like to give you total control over your own regiments for the most part.

Seeing as there is no clear consensus in either direction, the Universal Healthcare Act will be a conscience vote.

I will personally oppose it but respect that others support the bill. However, I think what we can all agree on is that some medical issues should be private. Should this bill be passed, I propose that we put forward our own bill that ensures that certain medical issues, especially abortion, are not funded by the taxpayers.

This is a fine idea. Would you approve of me designing a sort of smaller regiment comprised of 50 men? They would be promoted from the Elite Guard Regiment to your personal retinue, meaning that these men would be the finest soldiers in the Royalist Guard. I also feel that they should be dressed in more ceremonial attire rather than the stylish but plain black uniforms of the rest of the RG, albeit while still well armed. After all, as monarchists, we need to have a fancy changing of the guard ceremony in front of our HQ every once in a while.

So for my regiment at least: Bayonets attached, magazine in the receiver, no bullet in the chamber, and safety on. Right?

As I am the First Regiment, I expect that I will either march first or second in the parade, depending on where the Elite Guard decides to march. My marching order will be first the colourguard, carrying the golden eagle standard of the First Regiment; following them is the band, apprx. one fifth the size of the actual regiment, and is a regular band augmented by pipes. These one hundred men, it is worth noting, are dedicated band members but have all the same training as the rest of the regiment.

From there, the rest of the men will be marching up; my men are divided by ranks, not files, so in the event of any overt reaction to the parade they may have a little difficulty forming a proper line. Rest assured, though, I think the sword bayonets are fearsome enough nobody will go near them.
