So what, is it going to kill you to wait 12 more hours, just in case someone hasn't been online for last two days? We have standard voting time to ensure most people can vote and there is no reason to change that for this bill.
Only 28% of senate has voted so far.

In that case why not wait 15 days, since that's the time before one is expelled for inactivity. This "just in case someone hasn't been online for last two days?" is no argument.

What about if one goes on holiday? what then?

 . You can't accept your bill need to be re-written. I don't care if you are against my motion but as the constitution bill does not mention that it is a replacement of the original one i have the right to propose it.

Your argument for reducing time is invalid, because reducing time is unconstitutional. Again, read this.

Because waiting 2 days is not much to ask for especially considering people live in different time zones and have RL commitments, while 15 days is excessive.

Why do you keep calling it my bill? I had a part in the bill, but most of it was written by other people.I don't care if you are against my motion but as

Yeah 24 hours is fine in that case. One revolution of the earth. Everyone has one chance to vote on the bill.

I never once said that the constitution was mine. Since you're making the claim, you have to prove it. Cite where I said what you're claiming, please.

You should be sacked for incompetence, you only said this just over an hour ago. I know politicians are bad at this in the real world but this has to be some kind of record.

I've read enough of your squabbles. Utilizing my assistant administrator powers, I want the argument either permanently in TG's or in the Coffee Shop for proposing a change in time limits. This is completely irrelevant to the bill and is counter-productive to the Senate in session. At the most, don't even talk to each other. And may I remind you that this is intended to be In Character. Thank you, Senators.

PLEASE READ ALL OF THE INSTRUCTIONS BEFORE POSTING. ALSO, THESE RULES ARE SUBJECT TO CHANGE VIA PASSED LEGISLATION.

If the rules are subject to change, the sections can be rendered null and void if contradictory.
6. The vote will be closed automatically twenty-four forty-eight hours (as of passage of legislation #1) after the "debate-closing motion" had been "fifthed." This deadline can be extended or shortened by use of a motion such as "I move to extend voting for another six hours..."

This is the section at debate for having the ability to alter voting times.
PASSED LEGISLATION

Constitution of the New Senate
RECOGNIZING that this is the first proposal and that this proposal will shape the future of the NS senate,

Seeing from this, the Constitution is above the sections.
RULING that to protect from a single party voting in the middle of the night to pass a bill that suits their best interests, 48 hours must elapse before a bill is passed/shot down.

The Constitutiom does not note whether votes can or cannot be ended prematurely,

That leaves both stances as purely conjecture. Whilst the Constitution does state that the limit is 48 hours, it does not deny or confirm the usage of Section 6. Therefore, the Constitution is ambiguous and is not clear on Section 6. Denecaep has not changed Section 6 other than the hours. This can only be settled by Denecaep. Please, do not give him a TG, I will. I appreciate that there are open debates about, but I am trying to stay neutral on this conflict.

I will give an "Aye" regarding the Tax Act currently on vote, though I do have some doubts about it, as It may prove hurtful to the national economy.

Despite believing that the tax rate of 45% on those earning more than 1,001,000.00 NSC is excessive and will hinder economic growth and vitality, in order to prevent a more socialist tax policy, Senator Divitaen hereby votes AYE to the National Tax Act.

I have checked and he is yet to vote so given our party three line whip one would presume it is.
