Unless you're counting your vote, it's still at 13 I believe...

He is counting his vote because he's not the OP.

Since you edited it to thirteen, and the other two votes after your post, I had thought it was at 14.

Due to the lack of enough debate and satisfaction with the current bill, I feel the need to, and will vote, nay.

I vote YES.
I support peace in Israel and Palestine. The governments and people in power on all sides are an absolute disgrace, and their unwillingness to pursue peace is a disservice to the people they are meant to be serving. The status quo is not simply untenable; it is unquestionably unacceptable.

No, it's still 16-2.

Ah I see where the problem is...

I edit the numbers after posters have voted...

So it's still 16...
And so it was, that I had never changed.

We should count as it goes along though, so this doesn't happen.

I consider a 50% vote of all registered Senators to be completely impractical. It is necessary, as with any real-life chamber, to count the members attending and for no majority to be binding unless that company meets Quorum. That is, I would have it so:

Two thirds of all Senators must attend a vote. If they post, but do not call Aye or Nay, they are considered to have Abstained. If two thirds of all Senators do not attend, then the bill cannot pass, even if the Aye votes exceed fifty percent of the total registered Senators. However, a bill shall be carried if it gains 50% or more, of the attending Senators.

That said, I am voting Aye on the proposed bill constituting the Senate. We have to start somewhere, and it can be amended later if necessary.

I do not support your idea. How about we wait until all Senators have voted?
