Strike Team 1
The team tore north through the jungles, speeding across miles like they were nothing. They had some of the fastest vehicles in existence. Raiders and Venom made traveling a cinch. This team's target was the Salahari Desert. An empty expanse of sand with relatively few lifeforms. Scanners indicated that a large contingent of Orks was moving up the desert, perhaps to sack an Imperial settlement. This was fine for the Dark Eldar. Avoiding the Orks was simple, plus they would keep the Imperials busy. Leaving the desert open to exploration.

They avoided the Roks by a long shot, staying far out of reach of the Orks. If they were lucky, Ork scanners might detect the Dark Eldar for a grand total of a minute. But the Dark Eldar would have zoomed far away by the time any type of force could be sent after them. Eventually, they entered the desert. Vast open landscapes were not the preferred area for the Dark Eldar, but it did help provide no obstacles for their fast vehicles to be hampered by. They set across the desert, searching for the artifacts.

Strike Team 2
Upon reaching the desert, this team split from Strike Team 1. While the first team went off into the desert, this team veered towards Lambate City. Their final destination was Desperation Tundra. Reports indicated it was a barren landscape of snow and ice. The artifact was likely buried underneath layers of ice. It was no matter. They would destroy the entire tundra if need be.

The team traveled along the edges of the Montorn Ocean. This would keep them out of reach of most of the world's forces. Staying undercover would be the perfect solution. Hopefully the Kroot were following directions and keeping the Imperials of Lambate City busy. Getting involved in any form of combat with the humans was not wanted.

Strike Team 3
Strike Team 3 had one of the longest journeys. They were headed for the Trololo Mountains. The path traveled was the southern edge of Swift Ocean. Unfortunately, a Necron Tomb was located near there and Necrons were emerging all over that place. This team would have to move swiftly to avoid combat with them. They stayed as far away from the Necrons as possible while continuing on their travel path.

The Syrabite of these troops looked at his scanners. The Necrons were likely to detect them. Combat was going to be unavoidable, unless the Necron decided to purposely ignore the Dark Eldar force. Not likely. Thus, this team was prepared to battle as soon as needed. The Scourges were ready to leap into the air at any moment.

Strike Team 4
They were tagging alongside Strike Team 3 at this point. The final location was the Trohola Desert. But rather than trying to go north, which would involve avoiding Orks, Tyranids, and crossing through Tau territory, they would simply buffer the forces of Strike Team 3 and cross the Necrons. Once they reached the mountains, this team would continue onward instead of delving into the mountains themselves.

Strike Team 5
This team was headed for the Timurid Marshlands. Bog lands empty of settlements. Save the abandoned Chaos one of course. For now they road alongside Strike Team 1. Splitting was pointless at this point. If they reached the end of the desert without finding the artifacts, 1 would go elsewhere in the desert while 5 continued north. They would pass Jork City before the Orks, meaning stealth would have to be maintained before the Orks attacked.

Strike Team 6
Perhaps the easiest, yet hardest, target of them all. They were looking for the artifact that was located in what was now the Montorn Ocean. The maps indicated that this was simply a valley back when the Chaos occupied the plant. The eons of time had resulted in it now being a vast ocean. While no enemies were expected out in the oceans, though a Chaos force had taken a city on the edges of the ocean. They would be avoided by hundreds of miles. Penetrating the depths of the oceans was the difficult part.

The anti-grav vehicles meant they could fly right across the oceans looking for the artifacts. The difficult part would be diving down to retrieve them. The Dark Eldar did not have expansive amounts of diving equipment. Only a small number of forces would be able to participate in the dive. If the Chaos detected the Dark Eldar, things would get complicated. Luckily, the Chaos forces did not have vehicles suited for cutting across oceans. Hopefully, that would keep them away.

Within the day, 1,500,000 guardsmen of the Bohdian 45th, and the support group from the Bohdian 26th armoured had landed.

Thousands of servitors and indentured slaves swarmed across the desert plains next to the Tallarn encampment, filing hurriedly into rows and columns, in immaculate formation, the result of years of ceaseless drilling. They were to expand the Imperial encampment and set up defensive fortifications.

Armed troops stood ready to ensure that the operation went as quickly as possible, and they were quick to beat those who lagged behind with vicious electrified flails.

Their work began, and the slaves surged forward. Digging trenches into the dusty, solid parched earth was long, difficult backbreaking work, but the slave’s harsh overseers offered them no respite.

Those that failed to dig fast enough were shot. Partly to encourage the others, partly to provide an extra layer of defence as well, as their lifeless bodies were bundled into sacks and set up along with the sandbags that were placed along the trench sides. No resource was to be wasted to ensure the defences were as strong as possible. Not even the slave’s bodies themselves.

Bunkers and pillboxes were hastily erected, and hundreds of heavy weapon turrets were hauled by long trains of chained men, to be set up in emplacements.

Melchett watched the scene of misery and hardship with a quiet sense of satisfaction, as he sipped a glass of wine from the cool comfort of his luxury command outpost on an overlooking hill. With a gesture he summoned his adjutant to his side.

“Y-your will, my most beneficent lord?” the crooked wretch whimpered, seemingly trying to hide from Melchett’s very gaze in the folds of his ragged cloak.

“Pass me the vox,” Melchett demanded, “I need to inform Lord General Farad of our progress.

The adjutant did as he was asked.

“Lord General,” Melchett began, “we are making excellent progress. Our encampment will have been expanded massively by nightfall, and our full force of 1,500,000 men and our armoured support have all arrived.”

Tidus had transferred all spare crew and 1/6th of the guard presence on to the destroyer. The new tank was in the hold of the Light-Cruiser along with his existing armoured forces and the valuables were locked in a shielded safe in his cabin.

The ship took off for the nearest civilised Imperial solar system.

48 hours later -

Upon reaching the planet the assassin was awed at how backwards it looked, it was a feudal world, although it was a primitive place the people were extremely violent and strong- ideal mercenaries. He took a compliment of 100 of the Guardsmen with him. 20 of them carried shotguns for the closely-packed streets, 50 of them carried Slug-throwers and the other 30 carried a mixture of melts-guns, plasma-guns and bolters. The primitives piled out of their hovels in a show of intrigue and shock. They had probably never seen anything more advanced than a slug-thrower and if they had they most likely didn't know how it worked, it must have been amazing to them to see such a procession.

Tidus stood on the fountain in the square

"We come here to offer you service to the sky-god, the allfather! The Emperor calls for your aid in arms against the heathens who constantly attack you!"

The primitives screamed in Low-Gothic that they agreed to serve him, especially if they though that they might be serving their god by doing so. Over the course of 3 hours, messages had been sent by grox-riders to the other cities on the planet and exactly 15,655 men had surrendered their freedom and were being shuffled in to the holds of his Light-Cruiser which must have been the biggest thing they'd ever seen. Over 500 of them brought their special breed of animal called a Grox, an amalgamation of a cow, rhino and a tank - they would be incredibly useful cavalry in city environments, used to trample, batter and gore infantry and light vehicles.

He had just gained a huge chunk of troops.

Back at the Base,

After the encounter with the Callidus, Lord-General Farad wanted to take a rest for the day until he is visited by another Guardsmen, bearing an important message.

"What now Guardsmen?" Lord-General Farad said in a near tone of unsatisfaction...he guess that the Emperor's servant never given rest for a bit, but he shrugged it.

"Sir, a call from Lord-General Melchett. You need to answer him." The guardsmen said unnervingly.

Farad then sighed and muttered, "That bigoted old man huh?" and then continues, "Very well Guardsmen, I'll answer it soon." and the Guardsmen leaves as Farad heads to the Communication Center where a Vox operator awaits him.

As he heard Melchett's forces finally established himself a base with the composition of his army is now arrived at the Bohdian base, he finally replied, "Good General, for now we need to settle down and give your men some rest. By tomorrow, we will begin an offensive...particularly against the Traitor Guardsmen of the Death Korps of Krieg and I bet you shall find more glory in killing the traitor to the Emperor before we can finish the Xenos."

"Lord Hess, we are nearing the Ork fortress. Our stealth jammers are activated, they should not know we are coming." Hess looked out the window in the cockpit, and then turned to face the pilot. "No, disable the jammers. We need to portray ourselves as fearless as possible. Its the only way to get this truce." Hess said with a wave of his hand. The pilot obliged, and dampened the jammers. They were still on, but longer range sensors would have a hard time finding them. Since they were close to the Orks, they should be able to pick them up. That is, if the Ork sensors were worth anything.

The Gun-Cutter took a hard bank left, and immediately in front of the ship, was the Rok fortress. It lived up to its name. It appeared to be a large asteroid, but with engines on one side, and metal structures throughout. Hopefully they would not shoot. Hess grabbed the vox transmitter, and spoke. "Its the Hummie Rogue Lord, we iz commen to land. Itz deal maken timez." Hess silenced the vox, and looked over to his pilot, who seemed mildly amused. "Something funny pilot?" The man cleared his throat. "No, my Lord. Apologies my Lord." Hess nodded. He didn't mind too much.

The Gun-Cutter came in for a landing, and stopped not too far away from the Rok Fortress. It was huge. Hess left the cockpit, and grabbed his belt. It held his power sword, laspistol, and various small things. He fastened his hat to his head, but tilted it side ways. Can't look too nice , he thought. He punched the control panel by the door, and it lowered. It was a short few steps, but if the Orks were watching, Hess had to make a good impression. With reluctance, he jumped from the ships door, to the ground, and spun on his heel, facing the Rok fortress. "Ima herez!" He called out, one hand resting on the hilt of his power sword, the other out to his side.

Xialsedon proceeded towards the target. Lakrilefa would be arriving shortly through teleportation.

The first part of the attack was to get desecrators to bombard the walls. Drakelings and eradicators would fly in taking out the enemy heavy artilliary and defensive positions. Desecrators would then fire at anyone who objected, with the warriors backing them up. Destructors would walk to the walls, likely tearing them down. And just when the defenders thought this couldn't get worse? Lakrilefa would teleport his army right into the middle of the city.

Xialsedon prepared the attack.

Within a matter of days, alien forces of all kinds had laid waste to many cities of Aurora. Considerations of military retaliation were already out the window, with much of the planet's resources already dedicated to taking in refugees from the flattened and occupied cities.

An emergency measure was decided upon by the High Councilman, Minister Lornson. On screens across the planet, his corpulent face appeared, bearing a serious expression. He was making an address to the entire populace.

"This is Minister Lornson, Arch-Councilmember of our planet of Aurora. In face of the grave dangers besetting us on all sides, we have been forced to make a serious decision. We are evacuating Aurora. Everybody is going to be transported off-world, to other worlds of the Trakhaal Confederation. So every member of the population is to find a way to your nearest large city, where our few spaceships are being readied as we speak. There will be military personel moving to and fro throughout the cities and the countryside to find anybody who is in danger of being left behind. Nevertheless, if you do not make it in time for the last spaceship, one way or another, we will be forced to leave you behind. However, it will be a long time yet until all the spaceships have launched: transporting the entire population will require a number of trips from each spacecraft, notwithstanding the additional spacecraft which should be brought in from our neighbouring worlds to aid us. Good luck to us all.....This is Minister Lornson, Arch-Councilmember of..."

The message repeated itself, over and over, across the planet. While this transmission was broadcasted, other projects were underway: every spacecraft on the planet was being readied for launch, while cries for assistance were transmitted to other, nearby, worlds.

Finally, an important message was sent to the Tau military stationed on Aurora:

"Greetings from the Planetary Council. We have decided upon a radical tactic of evacuation from the planet. However, as our populace is evacuated, we are going to carry out several 'last stand' battles against the enemy, in an attempt to save more of the populace and decrease their numbers ready for re-invasion of this world by the Confederation. Make no mistake, we shall return with soldiers numbering over a hundred million. We would be honoured if you would join us in these final battles."

Xialsedon halted. He realised that the guardsmen weren't concentrating on him. They were trying to leave. Maybe they were going to help another part of the planet, confident that they could hold Xialsedon off? Perhaps they were trying to escape? Whatever it was, it was best to leave them to it.

Lakrilefa would know roughly what was happening anyway, he wouldn't attack yet. Xialsedon waited for the enemies to make their move, wherever they were moving to.

At the heel of the Archon, an Incubi delivered the most recent news.

"My Lord, the Tyranids attacks have chased the humans away. They are evacuating the planet. They will be leaving within a matter of days."

"I see. The Imperial scum are now no longer a threat. Whatever remains of their forces will be busy with the Orks and Tyranids. Has the messge been relayed to the strike teams?"

"Yes My Lord. They are most happy that our efforts are going unhindered."

"Good. Once we take these artifacts, the Chaos gods will be ours to control. Nobody will be able to stop the rise of our new empire. One that will grind the humans into dust."

And so the strike teams continued, not attacked by any enemy.

From afar, the Rogue Trader's Gun-Cutter failed to be noticed as it drifted quickly through the air, towards the Rok Fortress. The Rok's sensors blared to life, picking up the ship as it neared, the cloaking disabled. The turrets and defence weapons around and a part of the Fortress were rapidly manned or otherwise activated, turning in near unison to face this oncoming non-Ork. Thousands of defences were prepared to face the Rogue Trader, the sounds of Ork wardrums being beaten deafening. But before any Ork could do something drastic that could result in a shot down Human, Corpzegrinda ordered them to stand down, and allowed the ship to touch down in front of the Rok.

The grand gates of Corpzegrinda's Rok, or rather the gigantic, jagged pieces of welded-together scrap metal being used as gates, were opened, revealing the beginning passages of the great maze that is an Ork Rok. The small group of Meganobs sent to escort the Rogue Trader beckoned him into the Rok, leading him through a winding maze deep underground, and finally into the great command centre for the WAAAGH, in which Warlord Urek Corpzegrinda sat upon a throne of looted riches, lording over and sending out orders to the whole of 'Da Big WAAAGH'. As Hess entered, Corpzegrinda stood to his full six metre height, beating his armoured chest with his powerklaw. "I'z da big boss, Corpzegrinda. You'z a pretty Orky humie ta come here wiffout no support er nothin', I'll give ya dat. Now, wha'cha here for," Corpzegrinda said and asked, his voice booming and deep, as all Ork Warlords' voices were. The great, green prophet of Gork and Mork strode forward, or whatever the equivalent for someone wearing that much power armour would be, until he was hardly more than two metres away from Hess, emphasizing the absolutely massive size difference between the two, and emphasizing Corpzegrinda's belief that he could crush the human before him like a gnat if he so felt the need. The Meganobs closed in, forming a large circle around the two, making a clear statement that there would be no escape if the Warlord was angered.

Aurora

The large scale war being waged on the planet of Aurora had drawn the attention of many people from many organizations. Including Princeps Asilis Lividivus of the Adeptus Mechanicus Collegia Titanica. She was the Princeps of the Imperator Titan Invictus Ultra. She had commanded the Imperator for centuries, her mind having basically mixed in with the Machine Spirit. She could not survive for extended times when not connected to the Titan, and every moment away from the wires, and gel-filled tank she was normally in, resulted in pain. Yet for all of the pain, she was happy. She commanded a god-like war-machine able to lay waste to entire armies, devistate continents, and dominate an entire world.

Aurora was a new world to her, and the other Titans she had under her command. It was a small force, only her-self (She considered her-self to be the Titan), two Reaver Titans, and five Warhound Scout Titans. There were several companies of Skitarii to defend the Titans and act as a limited ground attack force. But she did not count such a small number of 'insects'. When they numbered in the hundreds of thousands and millions, they she would take notice.

But for now, she needed to assist the Imperial forces on this world. She willed the Imperator to take its first steps, moving it off of the transport and on to the soil of Aurora. The other Titans had already exited their transports and were already moving into a formation. Well, it would be best to contact one of the Imperial commanders and offer her assistance. She opened a vox-channel on the command net.

"Imperial commander, this is Princeps Asilis Lividivus. I have arrived on Aurora with a force of Titans. I offer my assistance to your efforts on this world. Respond with your requests." Was all she said. She did not know the names of the Imperial commanders on this world, having been rushed to the planet, she had only read up on the most important information, and the names of individuals generally were not that important.

Drop Point Alpha, Timurid Marshlands
General Baldur Hellion Vallarn
488th Death Korps of Krieg Traitor Guard

The Valkyries zoomed for the ground.
"Men!" Vallarn yelled to his men. "In a few seconds....we....will....land....on.....Aurora's.....Timurid Marshlands......We will then search the area.....for....signs...of...life, then...we....will......set..up...a..forward...base...and...fortify...our...position...until...reinforcements can arrive." A spark flew out of a tube on the top right corner of the Valkyrie. "Gods damn it, Octavian, fly this hunk of metal right or to the warp with you!" Vallarn yelled at the pilot.
"I'm trying as hard as i can, my lord, it's going to be a rough landing!" The pilot yelled over the Valkyrie's engines. "My lord, you might want to hold on to something!"
"Gods damn it Octavian!" Vallarn yelled as the Valkyrie hit the ground, scraping along the muddy surface of the marsh. The Valkyrie slid along the ground until it came to a stop, and luckily none of the men on board were injured.
"Well, that was a rough landing, eh, my lord?" Octavian chuckled nervously. Octavian soon only saw the barrel of Vallarn's pistol. Vallarn then pulled the trigger, blasting Octavian's head into small pieces.
"Any questions? good. Let's meet up with the other men." Vallarn said, opening the door on the Valkyrie. "Go, Go, Go!" Vallarn motioned the Traitor Guard to move. The Guardsmen complied, running out into the marsh, Gasmasks on, looking around for signs of life, life that could be extinguished. "I want a forward base up, and communications links with the fleet up as soon as possible, now move it! We're in smaller numbers than i'd like and the first Ork Band or other Xenos force, or even a loyalist force could wipe us out as we stand. Get some trenches up, some artillery, Get those Autocannons lined up around the perimeter. Kasrkins, i want you to watch the Swamps, Basilisks, set up and prepare to bombard the first enemies you see. Armor, patrol the perimeter. All of you guardsmen will build the base. Now get to it!" Vallarn motioned to the soldiers. The Soldiers then set about their tasks, unloading Autocannons, Digging trenches in the swampy mud, building other fortifications, and setting up communications.

MARSHLANDS

The Lictors that had been in Brute's retinue had moved to the Marshlands. They came across the Death Korps drop point. They were stealthy, cloaked, and ready to fight. They felt the hunger, for the biomass of the humans, and they prepared their strike. First, 500 Tyranid warriors emerged from the wooden areas of the Marsh, then the gargoyles, the genestealers, lictors, and finally the Hive Tyrant and his guard.

They roared out their challenge the Death Korps, letting them make the first move of attack. They knew that they must win this day, or that they would bow their heads in shame and accept the judgement of the Hive Mind. Victory or death.

Sabia'mealo and her squad sat in the main bay of the light frigate. They waited with their reavers as the ship blasted out of the webway, activating its night shields automatically. Her succubus gave her orders and the largest wych squad ever sent on a raid. She was to find the Dark Strider, take what he was after, and, if she could manage it, take his head. She couldn't wait for the violence.

The viewscreen showed the surroundings, and automatically pointed out the massive ork fleet in the sector. It was one of the largest she had ever heard of.

"I love Orks!" One of the witches moaned, licking her lips and pressing a finger to the blade of her knife. "They can take... punishment." She finished, grinning and letting out a cackle. The rest of the squad voiced their agreement, some tugging on chained piercings, others growling or laughing along.

"We'll have some fun." Sabia said in a thin voice, gripping her left razorflail tightly, her gloved hand creaking as it rubbed against the handle in its sheath on her lower back. She was just as eager for the slaughter as the rest. Suddenly, the screen changed, showing readings on a vast array of ships within orbital range of the planet. Too many to count, from every side. Things were getting interesting.

Hess followed the Orks with nothing to say. He was quite disgusted, but he kept up his guise. He walked with a sort of sloppy gait, but one with authority. It really did get on his nerves that he had to act like this. Soon, after traveling through the maze of the fortress, Hess was presented to the Ork Warlord, or whatever it was besides 'Big Boss'. It was rather appalling to be in such a place, and near such a creature, Hess felt. The quicker this was, the quicker he could get out of this dump. The Orks voice was deep and booming, much deeper than any mans Hess knew. As the beast strode forward, Hess felt a slight feeling of fear. What if this was a trap? Likely, but hopefully unlikely. The Ork was a very close to Hess when he stopped, and the beast looked down on Hess. With a gulp, Hess decided to prove he meant business. He took a few short steps so he was just short of a meter away now. He smelled a certain smell, which he had to focus hard not to choke.

"Howdy big Boss, Im a heres to make youz a good deal. Your boyz dont shoot ups mah boyz, and I give you lots of big, shiny gunz that go Bak-crash!" Hess gestured with his arms, miming an explosion. He also held a sort of wicked grin on his face, trying not to be professional. "The gunz be good for killen lots'a weak chumps!" Hess stared up at the beast, defiant.

Raan stood near Hess's command chair on the bridge of the Serene Fire. He held the vox transmitter in his hand, awaiting a response from the Tau. Soon enough, he got his answer; a nice one at that. A grin spread across Raans face as he thought of drones and battlesuits that would be wielded by the men of the Serene Fire. The stealth technology would prove invaluable to the ship. Anything they don't use, would fetch a nice price on the market. The only catch was that they had to fight for the defense of the Tau. A rather high price, as they would have to fight the Imperials, but the men on the Serene Fire were better equipped and trained from experience, or past Guard lives.
"Commander, it is my pleasure to inform you that we will be taking up your offer. We will deploy our men for your defense at your position. We have additional supplies to bring down, although I am unsure what use spare weapons from us will be for you. We will be at your position in a short amount of time. Shipmaster Raan out." Raan cut the transmitter, and sent a simple three click message to Hess. That meant the deal went good. Raan summoned up Major Bure, and they set to work.

After about an hour, a good amount of men were loaded up in their transports, and awaiting to be sent down to Aurora and aid the Tau. The main force would be about twenty thousand men, but more transports would be sent down steadily over time. "Shipmaster Raan, the initial transports are ready, any further orders?" Raan turned to his right, and it was Major Bure. Bure was the man who staid in the holds with the troops, watching over them and commanding them. He was a veteran officer of the Imperial Guard, but after seeing how they threw men away, he enlisted under Lord Hess. Hess did not throw men away like the Imperials. His policy was maximum damage, and least amount of casualties. "No, that will be all Bure. How are the men holding up?" Bure smiled, "You know how they are, always happy to fight for Hess. They respect him like no man I have ever seen." Raan nodded. He hoped so, they were all going down to a planet that would soon become a Hell-hole.

Raan accompanied Bure in one of the large transports, and passed by some of the Black and Reds, the nickname given to the men under Lord Hess's command. It was rather easy to figure out the reason of the name, their armor was black, with a maroon underlay. The all were equipped with Hellguns, along with other standard Imperial gear. Lasguns just did not cut it. But Hotshots were hard to get in large quantities. Hess had to settle with the middle of the road. "Launch the transports. We are all ready." Raan said from his place in the cockpit, and the pilot took the ship up, and piloted it out of the Serene Fire. But there was one last thing he had to do, as instructed by Hess to always do when his presence was absent. It was Hess's policy to point out the Warrant of Trade when needed, and the Warrant of Trade allowed Hess to do what he sees fit as long as it is in mans best interest. If he could persuade the Imperials to focus on the Chaos elements on Aurora other than the Tau, then that is another win for the Rogue Trader.

"Attention Lord-General Melchett and other commanders of the Imperial Guard forces east of the Tau position. This is Shipmaster Raan of the Rogue Trader vessel Serene Fire. We will be deploying our forces with the Tau. It would be in your best interest to respect our Warrant of Trade, and to focus on the known Chaos elements on Aurora. The Tau is not your enemy." Raan cut off the transmitter, and turned his attention to the planet that was growing in the window.

He did not know that he unconsciously used Melchetts name. Before, they were posing as Imperial Naval personal when they received that name. Hopefully Melchett was too busy to notice the slight blunder. Even so, Raan was a quick thinker.

Another report was given to the Dark Strider.

"My Lord, our latest reports indicate a vessel emerging from the Webway."

"Are they Eldar? Or some foolish brethren."

"We're unsure as to what Kabal, but they are not Eldar. They are of us. It is a small vessel."

"Mmm perhaps they are not here to wage war. Perhaps they are to scout. Or assassinate. The Wych cults are not against being up for hire. But no matter. Our own Wyches can deal with whatever they send. They'll regret if they are captured. How proceed our strike teams."

"Good my lord. They've been left alone. Arrival at their destinations will be soon enough."

Self-Modified Map
At first it was just a small fleet, coming out of the warp. An extremely rotted, disgusted look. But more and more filed in, repeatedly. They bared the markings of the Death Guard, servants of Nurgle. Their warped, mutated, and extremely disgusting appearance symbolized their dedication to the God of Rot. Upon the largest, most pestilent ship, Chaos Lord Azileal Krenor sat upon a small throne, made of pestilent affected metal.

He stood, looking upon his many, numerous Traitor Marines. He looked utterly disgusting, as did his marines. They orbited Aurora, visible from the ground, as the entered the atmosphere. "Today.." He coughed loudly, a most disgusting one. "Today Grandfather Nurgle, Lord of Decay, will drown this world in magnificent pestilence, and it will be ours." He hacked up a terrible black liquid, though, he wore no helmet. He spit it on the ground.

"My sores weep with the coming joy of the pestilence. Let the world drown in the Red Pox!" The massive legion cackled, holding their stomachs. "May mold take your brains, my brothers!" He cackled as well, coughing. The Chaos fleet, visible for miles, took its landing in the countryside, far from the Tyranid landing, but near a city.

His entire force piled out into the field, looking about, and casting the corruption on Nurgle upon it, with their puke, decay, and pestilent auras. He Chaos Lord shouted. "May this world drown in the corrupted blood of our enemies!" A simultaneous, loud cackle, was let out into the area, challenging all those who would oppose them. They began their terrorizing move to assault the city of Lambate.

After contacting Lord-General Melchett, Lord-General Farad finally getting some rest for awhile before he is being contacted again by another Guardsman. But this time, he will receive something good.

"My Lord, we got a communication." The Guardsman said.

Farad look at the Guardsman and asks, "From whom?"

"A Princep of the Collegia Titanica names Asilis Lividivus. A Titan force just arrived earlier on our Auspex." He informed the General in which the General's face looks at the shock of joy and also relief.

"The Emperor still loves us indeed! Hold the vox, I'm coming to answer it!" Farad said as he readied himself before heading to the central communication center.

Imperial Guard Vox Command Center,

After meeting with the Vox operator, he then asks one of them to open the communication with the Titan group and hoped for the best. "This is Lord-General Farad Al-Walid of the Tallarn 234th Regiment and By the Emperor we are relieved to hear from you!" He said as if the Emperor himself has come to aid him.

He then continued, "Our base is on the North-east of the Trohola Desert. For now, we have a Dark Angels Space Marine Chapter and the men of the Bohdian 54th and 26th armored. I'm awaiting for other reinforcements and your arrival is a welcome to my sore eyes."

But then he heard another transmission, this time from a Rouge Trader, saying that their forces are now allying themselves with the Tau and they invoked the Warrant of Trade which makes the Rouge Trader...immune from the Imperial Law...unless the Inquisitor has the right to revoke the warrant.

"Sir, what should we do?" Said the Operator.

"Tch, they think they are above us and allying with the Tau gave them the edge huh? I don't give a damn about some rouge, armed Merchant allying with Xenos and uses a Warrant of Trade to his own liking. Order our forces to strengthen the defense and let the Titan force into our base. I have been given authority by the Adeptus Munitorm to do whatever I can to bring this Emperor-forsaken and Bigoted planet to the Imperium fold...and no one can stop us!" General Farad said as he clenched his fists. As soon he received more troops and armor, it was enough to make a drive against the Xenos and any traitors crossed their path.

The assault on Lambate city was a complete success for the Dark Angels, the defence forces never saw it coming, literally, as the frontal assault force covered for the Drop pods and Terminators that smashed their way through the rear of the imperials killing all of the defence force and claiming the city for the Emperor. however like all assaults it had its cost and as the smoke cleared twenty space Marines, including a Terminator and 3 Ravenwing lay dead alongside the wrecks of three Predators, a Vindicator and two Rhinos that dotted the field in front of the city.

Izraphael emerged from the Governors palace, which was now their head quarters in the city, a lone Space marine called to him "Interrogator Chaplain, Tyranids have descended onto the planet, their shadow has cut off ll communications though before they did so we hear that reinforcements are on their way, being lead by Librarian Kinzius. Also the fleet is maneuvering to counter the large Ork fleet that is orbit above the Colombar Jungle."

"I see, and how are the defences shoring up?"

"The defences are now up and we have fixed the hole in the wall made by our war machines, we stand at readiness for any counter attack that the traitors may throw at us, we are also prepared in case of any tyranid or Ork force comes our way."

"Understood" Izraphael nodded "The Emperor Protects" with that Izraphael walked away, the reinforcements should arrive within the week so long as no warp storms appeared and with one city claimed they could focus upon the next city to reclaim, one which at the moment belonged to the traitorous Slaneeshi war band, which if reports were correct held a fallen in its ranks.

While awaiting the Titan battlegroup arrive to his base, Lord-General Farad then decided to contact the Astartes to know their development when a messenger Guardsman informed him, "My Lord, we intercepted a vox saying that Lambert City is now in the hand of the Astartes."

"Already?" Farad blinked but then he continued, "Very well. I need to contact the Astartes now. Lead me to the Communication Center." and the Guardsman lead his General to the Communication Center.

Inside the Communication Center,

"Any news for now operator?" Farad asks the Operator but so far, they didn't hear any news yet about other factions...especially the Tau. Then he continues, "Give me the Vox, I need to contact the Astartes of the Dark Angels." Which the Operator complies.

He take the Vox and began transmitting, "To Interrogator Chaplain Izraphael, this is Lord-General Farad of the Tallarn. I think it is a good time for us to discuss face to face for our strategies regarding the Auroran Crusade." He said through the Vox, hoping the Astartes replied.

"Lord-General Farad, it is good to hear from you." Izraphael replied "Once we have consolidated here we are moving south to Trunska city where two armies of Traitors are fighting, we wish to exterminate both in one fell swoop. However despite the objectives of the crusade we must deal with the Tyranids and the Ork Waagh before any true attempt at controlling this planet can be made. As i said after we have destroyed Trunska we will meet and discuss the correct way of moving this crusade forwards. Izraphael out." turning away he communicated with Zadakiel "Even as we await reinforcements we must turn our attentions south to Trunska city, have the Deathwing teleport back to the ships and have every marine ready to move and the Thunderhawks ready to pick us up at a moments notice"

It would seem not large an assault on the city of Lambent at first glimpse, but following in file were the disgusting forces of Nurgle. Demon's, war machines built for combat, siege weapons, dreadnaughts, and many, many traitor Death Guard marines. The very loud, very threatening shouts of the Death Guard could now be heard.

"Let this city drown in the pestilence of Papa Nurgle!"

They opened up with a zeal so great with their pestilent weapons, cannons, and explosives. The siege of Lambate City had commenced, and the Chaos Lord had predicted that the forces of Nurgle would have the day. The first wave of cultist slammed against the walls, firing their launchers and plasma weapons that had been sanctioned to them in few numbers, as well as their plasma pistols and swords. They attempted to weaken the defenses of Lambate City.

The Dark Angels had had little time to prepare to face against their mortal enemies though they did so with righteous zeal, Whirlwinds fired artillery barrages from fortified positions in the city with pinpoint accuracy as Space Marines on the front line gave accurate co-ordinates to strike, the Third Company held off against the cultists, who despite the numerical advantage seemed to be able to do little against the towering elite soldiers of humanity, The Ravenwing, still on the ground committed to flank attacks alongside the Assault squads of third Company led by their Company Master, whilst the Space Marine fleet turned their guns on the traitors vessels, and their bombs on the ground forces of Chaos, as the Deathwing prepared for either teleportation or boarding action on the enemies ships.

In one place did the Cultists break through, and that was only for a moment as the twin Dreadnoughts of Third company, Thoren and Draek filled in the gap, their great metallic bodies shielding the inner city. Izraphael stood alongside his brethren, his squad of Veterans around him, their pistols and power weapons killing all those in range, as their storm shields protected them from any Krak missile that flew their way. however many times the Cultists slammed against the walls of the city the Third company stood firm, like they did at Kurin's Acropolis for they knew no fear and they were the will of the Emperor incarnate, ready to bring death upon those traitors and heretics that dared attack them.

The Lord roared out hos challenge, amplifying his voice tenfold.

"Dark Angels! It is not too late! Come to me! Death to the false emperor!"

He cackled loudly, audibly, and very menacingly. The corrupted dreadnaughts charged forth at the Third Company's twins, roaring like maniacs through their communications. Fighting ferociously for Grandfather Nurgle. The Traitor Marines and their war machinations charged forth, attempting to break through the walls of the city and destroy their defenses.

The Chaos Lord walked for with his Plague Hammer, swinging it at his enemies with a ferocious might, attempting to kill many of them, while the Sorcerer fired off Chaos Bolts of energy at his enemies, from afar. The daemons wreaked their havoc upon the city's defenses as well.

"FOR PAPA NURGLE!" They all shouted at once, while fighting.
