Your perception of insignificance aside and noted, the problems a person may have aren't exactly irrelevant or insignificant to that person. They may be so to you, but not to the person they matter to.

Ignore people like that, Alaje.

But some harems are funny. The series I'm watching ATM, To Love-ru ( the anime my flag is from) would be technically a harem/sci-fi. It is hilarious. I get what your saying though, some are unimaginative with the concept.

There's that. The unimaginative ones, but I also have a bit of ire against some fandoms, the otaku culture they engender at times. I think that, more so than the anime, is what truly makes me despise harem anime the most.

I'm very sensitive to insults towards my social status compared to others I'm speaking to. If I'm in the presence of elders, I expect to be address according to my inferior rank. If I'm in the presence of contemporaries I expect to be addressed as an equal.

Oh god otakus. One of my friends is borderline otaku, it is annoying. I totally agree with you there.

Nah, they just fade away. I mean, some do because a lot of F7 posters are closet generalites, but most would just leave the forum.

Do remember that in a forum, gauging age is, unless the person says it (and even then they could be lying) practically impossible to. Also, some people try to rustle jimmies that way, being condescending. It's a debate tactic. Don't really let it get to you. Are you a child? If the answer is no, as I'm sure it is, then don't sweat it.

I don't mind the otaku culture so much as I can be a bit of an otakuin when it comes to some anime I like. My problem is with the obsessive ones.
