Why Does NationStates Seem to Attract Liberals?

I think there's more on the right than actually post. In my experience, a right winger will post and be immediately bandwagon by lots of liberals. This reduces the want to post. Even if you're trying to actually debate, the sheer amount of points thrown at you makes it impossible, and if you choose and select only certain posts to reply to you are thus attacked for it. However, some threads seem to have lots of left AND right wingers, when enough right wingers are around.

I know that one of the NS-related sites I visit has over 20 libertarians. But we avoid it precisely for the reason that there's so many left wingers and mods seem to be biased towards them. The times we actually have posted en masse many more right wingers come to join.

Libertarianism is neither a right/left ideology, but a universal dislike of government interference in civil affairs.

Well, left and right is a rather poor way of explaining politics. There are both left and right libertarians. Left libertarians actually quite like government involvement in economics. In my post I was referring to the right variety.

Ah, I happen to be the former....I guess. Wouldn't mind unethical economic practices (such as bypassing safety laws and using sweatshops) to have some repercussions such as the seizure and liquidation of property.

I would support for them to have the wage that would be given to them if they were living in the same country as the companies HQ. If they can't provide that, then they should be penalised for unethical practices.

Perhaps its because you're a conservative: people tend to notice their opposition more than their supporters. I myself tend to notice neo-Nazis and Conservatives far more than Liberals and Left-Wingers...

I think Liberals are more open to having their beliefs challenged, for the most part. Extreme bias and generalization, there. But I also think that many on the right also have hardcore religious beliefs thrown into the mix, so they have their beliefs coming down from a higher authority - what is there to argue? 1. New understanding of old economics: Austrian ones.
2. The internet is the only partially free place left, if not completely. The rest of society is by the government.
