Pretty easy right?
Now think of five young famous black actresses.
Bit harder for you?
The reason I've asked this is because, I heard the quite shocking news that Angelina Jolie may play Cleopatra.
Let's get the fact's right, Cleopatra is most probably a very dark skinned woman, Jolie is NOT dark skinned.
Why can't we find any young famous black actresses to play this role? Why aren't there enough black actresses? Why must they be confined to Tyler Perry movies?

Cleopatra probably was not very dark-skinned. Her ancestry was Greek, not African. She only had four great-grandparents and six (out of a possible 16) great-great-grandparents (furthermore, four of those six were descended from the other two), and they were all members of a couple of royal families founded by Alexander's generals.

In reality, a white actress tanned and appropriately made up would resemble what we can anticipate Cleopatra resembling far better than a black actress, what with Cleopatra being a Ptolemy, and therefore Hellenic, not Nubian, in origin.

And she wasn't that good-looking, to look at her coin portraits. Neither was Mark Anthony.

Actually that was spot on. Most Egyptians aren't black though the ancient Egyptians even made differences between themselves and other African people in their hieroglyphs. Hell the Egyptian Historical Society ripped an American Black Nationalist group a new ass when they claimed King Tut should be black he wasn't.

Why would a black actress play that role? It should be a brown middle eastern actress.

BABY KILLER!
And the Ancient E's painted themselves as having reddish skin. Modern Egyptians are probably mostly Arab in descent and are darker than the people of 4000 years ago.
