Why FDR?

FDR made the government too big, and set a precedent that we need a big government.

That.. and that he allied with that Bastard Stalin, and also treated german and japanese americans like crap.

Yes but Stalin was needed at the time to help fight a common enemy. The reaction to Germans and Japanese is a considerable thing to take into account though.

I hate the common denominators of Stalin, Hitler, Mao, and Pol Pot of course, I detest pretty much all popes, and Oliver Cromwell gets some special hate for killing Irish people because, well, he could. I'll add Reagan as the most overrated.

Thanks for the compliment.

The Monroe Doctrine expressed that the United States would not allow Europe to further colonize the America's anymore, and should anymore colonists push for independence, the United States would support them. With a flimsy start for the United States to start off with, the idea that the colonists should pay for a war that had protected them at great expense to their mother country,

Really confused by your wording here, are you simply saying the Americans would be foolish to join a war to ensure the freedom of other nations?
it doesn't really set up logically. It would further be used to snatch land up from Mexico during the Mexican-American war.

Eh, thats more manifest destiny and Polk.

I remember having the thought of killing everyone so that we could have a quiet utopia. An idea in an of itself is harmless, it's the intent and carry-through that matters in history. Like, FDR may have been a dick to his wife but that doesn't change some of the good things he did. Historically, we have to balance the good versus the bad things that they did and of course, 'good' and 'bad' are ambiguous of the times we analyze them from.
